I often find myself in teams composed of three women and me... it is not all that uncommon at all. Hell, overall I'd say I have more female friends than males in forums, software (Steam and Origin) related to gaming, not to mention MMOs such as Guild Wars 2.

I never thought there'd be so many women playing GW2, which frankly I'm quite happy with.

To the OP: there's more women now than 5 years ago in gaming, and if all goes according to plan well, there'll be even more in the coming years.

There's more of us. I don't use a mic as not to bring attention to myself. Gamer first before putting up with "ohhhh its a girl~"

You just shrug it off when someone says "thanks man or nice one man" common assumption. W/E unless your tag is pinkprincessxxx I'd assume your male too. Hahahahaha

Lots of women play but I guess they tend not to voice chat. I heard my first woman on the mic a few days ago and I was honestly surprised/taken aback by it. Funny, considering that I am also a female gamer.

Ah, that happened to me as well a couple of months back. I was surprised at first that another woman, such as myself, actually plays MP but it's cool to know there's more of us out there. I'm not too fond of using my mic, unless it's a gold match that demands tactics and coordination, but I can get why some female players don't feel comfortable voice chatting in game.

Most girls who play this game are console players oddly enough. I've only ever met 4 girls who play this on PC since launch.

Just ignore them. I don't want to play with someone who annoys me, why should you? You can always put them on the ignore list if they bother you.

I only put lady as a beacon to other female gamers. But as I said before I regret it very much and is going to change soon.

You know... just because a girl talks to you... that doesn't mean she's flirting. Judging by your attitude, they're probably not. Plus, we have every right to put on a girly name for our nicknames as you have to put a crappy overpriced Italian car in yours. Just saying.

I was in a match with a girl who was flirting at me because she was bad and wanted to be carried. After the match I told her she was bad and should feel bad for assuming I'm a deprived sexually starved male and we kicked her.

If I play with girls, I try to make game as much fun for them as possible. i.e. reviving, doing objectives, letting them kill most enemies.

Which is why I don't use a mic. I don't want special treatment just because I have boobs.
