I hope they stick w/ good, trained, professional VA's. And refrain from the whole celebrity VA thing.

For me it's more important that the VA is good at what they do, than who they are.

That said, heh heh, I'd love to have Samuel L. Jackson's voice show up in the DA-verse. Ha! Anywhere.

Celebrities can work well as long as their profession is acting. Martin Sheen is great as The Illusive Man and Eve Myles makes a perfect Merrill.

I've noticed that actors who do rarely voice acting tend to use their real voice (unless they're asked to do an accent). Professional voice actors often create a particular voice for each character. Personally, I prefer authentic voices. They sound more natural. Using one's real voice allows the actor to focus on the acting part instead of the creation of the voice.

Anyway, I have no particular wishes. Bioware usually does fantastic job in choosing and especially directing voice actors. Voice actors who sometimes sound flat in other games, shine in Bioware games.

There are a few people I wouldn't mind hearing in DA3. Jennifer Hale, Jen Taylor, Steve Downes, Nolan North (he may be a bit overused, but he's still got a pretty good voice) and who ever the woman is who voiced the female sith warrior in TOR.

For celebrity voices, my first vote goes to Patrick Stewart. I'd also put a vote for Seth MacFarlane. Say what you will about Family Guy, but I think he's a pretty good VA with a good range of voices.

yeah..but that's okay. i still prefer professional VA's. I don't want to hear their authentic voice. I wanna hear the voice of whatever char. it's supposed to be.

Good choice! He was also pretty epic in Black Adder. He is just oozing Love Interest juice all over the place in that first pic. Rowan Atkinson is not impressed but its probably due to him being all 'jelly.' Speaking of Rowan Atkinson, getting that guy would be a minor coup on Biowares part if they could net him.

I formally request the voice acting skills of Rik Mayall, aka (p)Rick from "The Young Ones", and - as most of us know - Drop Dead Fred. He has also done quite a LOT of voice acting from then on. He's awesome! I want him to be a goofy NPC... somewhere... in DA3.

LOOK HE KNOWS HOW TO DO IT - NO TRAINING REQUIRED!
