Please insert a storage device containing the required downloadable content, or download the downloadable content again. The Edge.

Not very useful information if it doesn't work. I downloaded the files again for the collector's edition & promo items. Still get the same error.

Tried switching out hard drives between two different xboxes, same downloadable content error. It just came up today, at 10pm.

I thought, well maybe it's the whole drive so I put in Fallout 3, Halo 3: ODST & Borderlands. All of the saved games worked from those games & they have downloadable content saved games also.

[update: 11 PM] Only the saves that contain the Stone Prisoner character seem to be corrupted even though I've downloaded again. *shrug* Although I don't lose my saves, I still lose quite a bit of hours of playing. Oh well. Hope my other saves don't become corrupted.

Have you tried deleting the content (NOT the save games, just the content) from your 360 hard drive, before you attempted to download the DLC items again? That might work as the content that is downloaded is not checked for validity if the content is redownloaded and yet already exists. The content is simply checked for existence, but not overwritten (probably to save MS bandwidth). Give that a try if you have not done so already. It may just work!

Have you tried deleting Promo Item Pack 2 and downloading The Edge directly? It sounds like you're attempting to load a save while offline and you don't have the necessary license(s).

Yes, I have tried deleting downloaded content first, then redownloading it. Usually the 1st thing I try to do. Still doesn't work.

EA customer service solved the issue even though they didn't understand why there was an issue at all. Anyway, thanks EA/Bioware!
