It really bothers me how Shepard just agrees to be part of the plan to set up and kill the vorcha.

Kreete I think his name was.

I have to admit that didn't make much sense to me either He has a problem with killing the general but doesn't hesitate to shoot the Blood Pack leader.

This bugs me. I remember watching the romance scene with Tali when Shepard does this and thought to myself "Is that all you dolt? My God, say something more! Say something romantic! Anything! It can be cheesy just say something! Nothing? Crap."

In regards to the way your Shepard would normally behave? Not including the ending of course.

I loved ME3 but for me it has to be when you talk to Joker after the mission on Thessia. He cracks a small joke and the only option for Shepard is to scald him for it. I find this to be very annoying as there is no way of casually agreeing with him or even joke back, I get the reason for it story-wise but it is completely out of character for my Shep to lash out and it somewhat disassociates me as the player from Shepard.

How about you guys?

The entire catalyst scene. My Shepard would have never been like "oh...alright."

"I won't let fear compromise who I am" is still the worst line in the series for me.

The auto-dialogue in ME3 didn't bother me much. There were some little problems (the prologue was a bit stupid, and I found Shepards reactions to Joker's awful Thessia joke too mild), but nothing major.

Not necessarily dialogue, but mindset. Case in point, the kid. My Shepard was a colonist. If anything would be giving him nightmares, the kid would be right above the bottom. In addition to his family and friends being ruthlessly slaughtered and enslaved by batarian scum, what about Kaidan? I guess my Shepard just got over him. Jenkins? Eh, he was a redshirt from the beginning, I'll let it slide. And what about XO Pressly?

Shepard didn't even know that kid!

And yeah, there's certainly "I won't let fear compromise who I am," but that was uttered back in ME2, before the ending to ME3 was uncharacteristically mutilated.

Yes. Very yes.

They kind of made up for it with the EC, but Tali's romance scene compared to what, say, Liara got? Pitiful. Not saying anything against Liara here, just wishing the rest had gotten similar treatment (one dialogue option, starkid dream, one dialogue option, kthxbai versus six dialogue options, extensive romance scene, starkid dream, additional dialogue choices). ME2 romances got it even worse.

uhmm... he kills the bad guy and spares the good guy. Isn't that what (paragon) shepard does all the time?

still? after all this time still people can't see it? On one level seeing an innocent kid die is bad and effects shep but to shep what the kid really represents is those he wasn't able or won't be able to save. to shepard the kid in his dreams represents those killed by slavers, he represents kaiden, he represents jenkins and pressly, the kid is the representation his subconcious gives this regret.

Selling Legion to Cerberus made the whole Rannoch arc more tolerable for me for such reasons.

I should have killed Zaeed off that way and prevented myself from seeing his crappy cameo.

Good man, it makes Tali more anti-Geth too.

Even his cameo is broken - he doesn't loop through his autodialogue like he should; I think you have to complete a mission and come back to him to advance to the next line.

Anyone know what happens to Vido if you didn't kill him in ME2?

EDIT: Pyramid snip

Only if you sold him. If you kept Legion, and Legion dies, she says "the real Legion would have understood." She's mistaken.

Well, in the leaked script he gets killed or apprehended by Reapers(can't recall which) while Zaeed looks on.

Well, that's convenient... <_<

I'd have had the Normandy shoot down his fleeing gunship on Zorya after saving the workers, had that been an option. Bit of a contrived situation, that.

All the same, the game does far too much to reward Paragons. Certain things like letting Vido and Balak go should have bitten you HARD in later titles. Letting Rana Thanoptis go makes her kill a few people (no hit to war assets), letting Balak go makes him crash a ship or two (no hit to war assets - you actually recruit him as one), and rewriting the Geth Heretics is a mistake (if peace is your goal) which can be easily overcome. Other than that, I don't think the game levies ANY negative consequences for applying naive idealism to any given situation.

Really? Nice to see the character railroading there isn't as bad as with Mordin and the genophage, or Jack and her teaching job.

Yeah, Tali says "I knew it would betray us" when she stabs Geth V.I after Shep sides with the Quarians.

I really hated this.

Kai Leng: "You're still slow shepard!"

Shepard: "I'm only slow because I'm not running!"

Kai Leng: "Shut up!"

I laugh every time these lines are said during this encounter
