Yes, only one repetitive map throughout the entire game.

My hope is that there are no pants in DA3.

My desire of that comes strictly from being an Origins fan, trufax.

Don't forget about BG:EE as well. Really looking forward to the three new companions and the new dungeon "The Black Pits". And i don't agree with that Mass Effect 3 was a good game. But that's mainly because i don't like the Gears of War kind of games but i can see why other people might like it.

I admire you for that remark, but now I also hate you for reminding me about Origin.  Diablo III all over again. <_<

DA2 haters would be a more descriptive term than Origins fans. Origins fans includes most if not all DA2 fans.

After looking at the initial sales info i doubt it, but overall i thought that DAO despite it's Tolkienesque story structure, and meh combat was ok. While DA2 excluding it's improvement in party banter,  party tactics, and in combat running animation was meh all around .

How does sales info say that people who liked DA2 didn't like Origins?

The sales data and complaints in these forums between the two games support the exact opposite argument.

You misunderstood. The argument is whether fans of Origins liked DA 2. The lack of sales with DA 2 and how many complaints about DA 2 are from those who liked Origins speak to the contrary of Filament's statement that most of DA 2's fans are Origins fans. From what I've seen most of those who were dissatisified with DA 2 are folks who liked DA:O.

Sales data says no such thing, and your second point makes no sense unless you assume that making any argument in favor of DA2 compared to DAO means a person must not have been a fan of DAO. Which is absurd.

No. The argument is whether DA2 fans liked Origins. Because when people make sweeping statements like "what hope is there for Origins fans" they tend to ignore that DA2 fans are also Origins fans.

I keep hearing that Dragon Age was suppose to be the spiritual successor to BG. This is right up there in terms of marketing hype with the Awesome button. DAO was not imho the spiritual successor to BG2. Not even close. DAO stripped out a lot of the parts of BG2 that I personally liked and added parts that bordered on the inane.

DAO has instant mana and health regeneration, weapons and armor that does not degrade, non-deaths (unconsciousness) of companions. Stealth that is more like invisibility than real stealth. An endless supply of arrows. Far too many set encounter battles where reinforcements are non-existent. No random encounters with enemies or creatures when the party is battered or beaten (because there is instant health and mana regeneration). No real multi-classing.
And I like DAO.

Yep. DA:O's ruleset wasn't really about resource management, and BG2's was.

The problem with saying "spiritual successor" is that the phrase only works for someone who agrees with you about what the important aspects of the first game were. I never liked resource management as an organizing principle for RPGs in the first place --as a DM, I found the ruleset really limiting in terms of what you can do with pacing, even with PnP's freedom to rewrite stuff on the fly if you have to. So when that aspect didn't make it to DA:O I didn't see this as any sort of problem, or deviation from what had been promised.

As you say, mileages vary.

DA2 haters is a derogatory term. I don't like DA2, so, I'm a hater?

Origins fans could or could not include most or all DA2 fans.

Many people who doesn't like DA2, dislike it precisely because is not as DA Origins. I've read this reason many, many times in this forum.

I agree. I think DA2 is a good game but it doesn't compare to DA:O. I wish it was more like DA:O but I don't think that makes me a DA2 hater.

Of DA2, sure. My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek and I would have chosen a more palatable word to describe a dislike of DA2 if it wasn't. The point is that liking Origins doesn't mean anything about where you want DA3 to go.

True.

Nothing can surpass the epicness of Dragon Age: Origins. If you take the vanilla game + every single DLC + Awakening you pretty much have one of the best fantasy RPGs ever made.

I'll sit back, relax, and enjoy the cool graphics and nice armors (I'm a sucker for cool visuals) of Dragon Age 2 and 3... that being said, David Gaider is still David Gaider, and there are few things in the gaming industry I love more than Gaider's writing style.
