Glitched mission ( Save Red Cliffe)

Alright well when i got to red cliffe i talked to the person on the bridge and after that i walked to the windmill and killed the darkspawn there and then i went to the castle and killed all the darkspawne there and then i found out there were more darkspawn in the village so i went back out and killed them and when i came back to the castle the doors would not open and there are no dark spawn anywhere in sight not in the castle and not even in the village... So yeah im thinking i glitched it on accident or something?

Did you look around the boats and all around the houses by the water? once you kill everything you'll get a cutscene. I had to go around the houses to find a last darkspawn that got "stuck". don't happen every time but I've had it happen two or three times

Have you talked to the guard at the castle entrance ? At the castle you defended against 2 waves of darkspawns and an alfa ogre ? After that a guard should appear and give you the option to enter the castle or give you some time to clean the remaining darkspawns.

I have the same problem as KILLERBOB and i have checked around the boat house 4 times now as this has happened to me before. I have been to the castle courtyard 4 times and there are no more darkspawn to kill, nor is there a soldier to speak to so that i can get in to the castle.
is there anything else i can do?

I looked every where for more of them but yeah i couldnt find anymore of the darkspawn and a few guards died in the castle court yard maybe the one that talks to me died... uggggg and i never fought an alpha ogre... he never showed up.. Its really weird cause like i cant restart from any point where i left off because i didnt save it. So i would have to restart the whole game...

Tough luck.I will never understand you people..you have 31 slots and an autosave.Use it !! Don't complain after.It pays to save often and make some backup saves in key points of the game.No alfa ogre means the game has stucked.Buggy. After you kill that thing it triggers the appearance of a guard who opens the doors for you(just talk to him ).No matter how many guards die there, if you kill that ogre the guard will appear.

Well dude it doesnt hurt to fix it... It's not like its my fault for the GAME to be glitched but it does help if they fix the GAMES glitches.

I had this same problem, but it's happened to me on both of my characters and now I'm stuck. I don't think it's something that can be fixed by reloading, because it's happened on two separate games. I tried just waiting, because sometimes it takes a while for cutscenes to kick in, but it never happened. I also haven't fought the ogre either.
I might have a go at finding leftover darkspawn, but to be honest it sounds like a proper glitch that bioware will have to fix with an update

maybe its the order in which you do them. Each character i ran I went into the village first and did all of that then afterward i went to the castle and did the initial combat there then got some more darkspawn through the main gate after which a second waive with the ogre alpha came in through the main gate and that set up the cut scene. Perhaps once you start fighting at the castle if you leave before the second wave maybe that is whats messing it up. I have never had any lockup thus far and have14 characters 9 of which have been through this portion.

DA: O is a great game, but so many problems

I'll be getting to Bioware as soon as I find out how.

Well some people are lucky to have it work i have a few friends with the same problem its just it happens every so often but hey if they fix it ill be happy but until then ill be mad... lol

Same thing happend to me, Problem was it autosaved when I went down the hill to find more darkspawn.
Result, last previous save was 4 hours ago. It really hurt doing the fade yet again!
