Hello, I am new to participating in the forums, but not to reading them. I have been a huge fan of the Dragon Age Franchise since it was reliesed, and with Inquisition on the horrizon, me and my friends had some fun ideas, and i was wondering what everyone might think of them.
In the Dwarf Noble origin, you can impregnate a noble hunter and then have the child legitimized my whomever you choose to be king. In my story I also romanced Morrigan, gave her her old god soul baby and walked into the eluvian to rase our child together.
IF, and I do emphasize on the IF, the old god baby is a character and possible party member, me and my freinds thought it would be very cool to have it and the dwarf nobles other kid meet and talk about that fact that they are brothers. I just thought it could lead to interesting conversation.
Again, this is all just an idea that me and some buddies thought would be fun, any thoughts?

First, welcome to the BSN! I hope you stay here is nice.
To the matter at hand, I think the chances of this happening aren't the greatest. Not everybody did the Dark Ritual and fewer people had a Dwarf Noble character (and it needs to be male, too), so creating content for this particular situation can be tricky. There's also the matter of the kid not having a fixed name. If it does happens though I think it can be fun.

I have seen the massive amounts of conversation and crap storms brought up by the god child thing, and I didn't want to emphasize that, but I do like the idea of having the harbinger of change or destruction or what ever the thing may turn out to be, have a chat about how their father abandoned one for the other or have a moment of understanding. I am glad to finally start posting on the forum, I have been reading arguments on this website for years.

The lead writer confirmed that the God child wouldn't exist at all unless the warden did the dark ritual. I don't think the child will have that big of a role in the overall main game since it would be a waste of resource to make main story content for a character that may or may not exist in the game.

Sigh, I know all of that, I just want to know how people would react to that sort of thing. It's probably not going to happen, and I realize that. But I though it was a bizarre scenario in general and it is one that is entirely possible in terms of the way the story can progress.
I mean, these guys would be related by blood, its just so strange, especially if on would look like a human and the other, obviously a dwarf.

I never thought about that situation Knightmare170. Seeing the OGB and a young dwarf man on screen as brothers would be very cool. Obviously it'd be unlikely that they'd ever develop that, but we can dream.
It's almost too bad that they didn't set up the OGB to be a canon plot event, because then they actually could make a sequel where you play as the grown up character, and get to experience things like meeting your dwarven half-brother.

I think, if we are to see any child from DA:O as an adult later on, it will be Bhelen's son, as he survives regardless of what goes on.

There are so many iffs here tho. Your warden would have to have been a male dwarf noble, he must have chosen to impregnate the noble hunters and then chosen to make have the kid made legit and then romanced Morrigan...
And let us not forget that if DA3 takes place at 9:40 both of them would be like, what 10-13? Not companion age yet. And even if they were, this is such a iffy situation it would probably just be mentioned in party banter.

Don't forget that cute bug where the DN's child actually is never flagged as legit...

In DA2 when you get that quest "Last of his Line" i think it called, if harrowmont rules doesnt it imply the guy your helping is err the last of his line so basically everyone else to do with the family is dead including that child??

The last of Harrow man's line. Bhelen's son obviously belongs to Behelen's line and as other have said he is unkillable.

I doubt it Bioware forgot all about Conner and an entire quest was based on what was happening in Redcliff with Arl Emon and all.

I'm glad some other people had thoughts, but I see that it won't happen, which is a shame. I wonder if any of the little details will effect much.

Welcome to the BSN!
(or, at least to posting on it)
As far as it being likely to happen in-game? Definitely probably not. But I don't think that's what you were asking -- I think you were asking if that would be interesting, in which case my answer is "heck yes!!" I never even knew the male Aeducan Warden could impregnate one of those women (I usually play female characters and tell Gorim to get those ho's out of my festival).
I think that would make an amazing fanfic, for one thing.
Especially since the Warden can become a Paragon, which means that child would essentially found a new house with your first name (which could be technically anything). I always wondered who'd be in your house if you were an Aeducan Warden Paragon with no heirs?

Well you could easily place Gorim and his topside family down there, if Oghrem would be up for it you could put his family in there, and then your son and his mother. Not much to go with, but you have options.
I hope the even bring up the ND's kid in the first place, that would be a start.

Yes this would be cool indeed to have our DN sons pop up in DA3 even if they are in a random conversation between party members
