The battle with Stone Wraith is not epic, no one witness it, and it is Varric story, and he is known love to exaggerate, maybe it doesn't even happening.

Duel with Arishok? Yes there are few witness, and it happen in a closed room. Arishok himself is not grand enemy in my opinion, anyone could duel him and win, it is not a "against all odds like killing an Archdemon" thing

High Dragon is epic animal/creature, to kill a dragon is epic, the Warden sell the dragonscale making it an armor is something great. Kill the High dragon, make it's bone own armor. it is worth the feeling.

Flemeth is legendary figure, all fear her, the Witch of The Wild who eat children and steal people body, killing Flemeth is epic.

What an odd definition of epic.  The Arishok and the Stone Wraith aren't epic fights because their aren't any witnesses, yet both the fights with Flemeth and the High Dragon took place in isolated locations without a single other person around.

DAO certainly had its issues. I enjoy the game but to be perfectly frank: On replays there are quite a few points that I don't want to do. The Brecellian Forest, Redcliffe, the Fade. Yeah, I am not keen on replaying those portions. While DA2 did recycle maps I must say that I enjoyed the more centralized story.

Take PST for example. Yes you do some traveling through different planes but the chunk of the story is told in Sigil. It feels more centralized and when you find out the way to get to the last location of the game, the whole thing feels so full circle that it is wonderful.

They could have used the Chanter's board for more small quests, each of which could have given us a little more background into either the city or the inhabitants, instead of the Fedex jobs.

I totally agree. I found it lame that we'd find something in DA II just lying around in some ruin and we'd automatically know exactly who to bring it to. Is Hawke supposed to be gifted with psychometry?

Mass Effect 3 handled these fetch quests well: Shepard overhears a conversation and a side-quest is made available.

If you read the quest notes in the journal you would know how Hawke knew.

Exploration contributes a great deal to my sense of adventure and being (mostly) confined to a single city in DA2 did kind of dampen that feeling. But the devs have said repeatedly that the next game will have much more to explore, so that gives me hope. And since one of the number one complaints about DA2 was the reuse of areas, I'm sure we will see more variety as well, which will also contribute to my personal feeling of adventure.

I might think of forgiving BioWare for not having origins/race if they give us multiple 'hub worlds' each with their own unique flavour

We give the dragonskin, dragon scale and dragonbone to Wade, and he make armor from them. And it is in real time, not a story from someone about it. I mean you kill the dragon at that time, not someone told the story about you kill the dragon, that is totally a different thing. Similar with flemeth, and there is Morrigan, right after you kill Flemeth you talk to Morrigan.

While in DA2, all battles and duels is just Varric version of his story, it not become epic because it is not entirely TRUE...yes you duel Arisok, but actually every move, everything you do, is what Varric told Cassandra. The Arishok is a figure from Varric description, maybe Arishok is not like that at all. So it is NOT REAL. No epic about it. Similar with Stone Wraith.

The Arishok could be killed entirely with the dog.

IIf your issue is with the framed narrative, then whether the fight is "epic" or not really has nothing to do with it.  All it says is that you don't trust Varri for some reason.  The Arishok duel remains epic in my eyes.  Your arguments don't make any sense.  If you don't like the way the story was told, just say that.

I'm glad DA:I is most likely returning to the adventure/explore style plot of Origins but I'm hoping the criticism levied at DA II doesn't discourage them from trying a similar concept again in future titles. I really thought the concept of a centralized, 10 year long drama was great and refreshing but it was just executed so poorly.
