If the other players aren't willing to use a medigel or an ops pack, I won't use a rocket, especially if I don't need to. If you don't like watching others play then learn how not to die, or leave the game and try again... Otherwise be thankful there is someone there to carry you and earn the xp and credits the rest of the team wouldn't be able to earn on their own.
I have yet to run into players who refuse to use medigel.
ok so the issue is that the sole player trying to clutch a wave is not playing to your liking. Well, if he has 4 waves that he has to solo you expect him to use all his rockets just to speed things up for you guys that couldn't stay alive? Why didn't any of the players that got dropped use a rocket? What if rockets are needed for an objective later on? If I had to solo 4 waves and carry a team I wouldn't trust any of the players to stay alive long enough to help with an objective in a later wave, nor would I have any trust in them using a rocket if needed as they haven't demonstrated that they are willing or able to do so.
While a timer is not a totally bad suggestion in and of itself, in the scenario you have set out it only serves to add more pressure to a guy that is simply trying to succeed where the rest of the team have failed. If time is such an issue, then either leave, or just be happy someone is earning you credits and xp
Why do you assume that the dead didn't use their cobra or medigel at all? They can still die.
There are players of different skills. Some are good, some are bad. The experienced player should assist the less experienced so they can enjoy the game as well. My way of doing it is to watch their back. Sure they may think they did well because they didn't die, but I just picked the enemies off his back without him knowing. I get less XP by not rushing to the frontline? Sure, but at least I made the game more enjoyable for the others.
If you think "Hey noob, you die so sit and learn". I'm sorry, that won't make the game better for the less experienced.
