However, watching the sole survivor dance around for 15 mins helps nothing. Why? Because most of the enemies were killed before the 3 players die, so the sole survivor can run in circles kiting the last few enemies without anything slowing him down.
So the 3 players died for the team and have to waste another 15 minutes?
So the three players who consistently get themselves killed are better than the one who can finish the wave solo? The player finishing the wave solo hardly does anything except taking care of the leftovers? I find that hard to believe.
I hardly ever play a match where the entire team gets themselves killed except for one, never mind three times in a row. But when it happens, something is very wrong with the team. When you go down permanently, you've used your medigel either too early in the game or too late to prevent yourself from being stomped on or bleeding out or you were too close to a boss and got yourself sync killed or something like that. If that happens to you, that is your mistake, not of the one having to finish the wave solo. Whenever that happens to me, I kick myself and watch as the final player has to work hard to stay alive. When you're the last man standing all remaining enemies run at you as quickly as possible and even a few of them can quickly overwhelm you. Even that husk that jumps you as you're taking on a brute can kill you or a swarmer which you trip on while your shields are down. You need to be aware of everything and if you fail, the whole team wipes.
Unfortunately, I see people use their medigels as I am running towards them to revive them, sometimes on waves 1-3 when there really is no need to do so. So they run out of medigel and don't have any left for later. I see people not reviving a teammate that is right under their noses as they are too focused on making a kill. It sounds a lot like you were in a match like that, where people didn't work together.
