And do you know why I encourage such mechanisms?

A lot of sole survivors think they are good, shooting around for 15 minutes, and guess what? He got killed by the last enemy.

Other players started asking if he didn't have cobras at all. It turns out he had them. Then my headphone will be flooded with curses, He just wasted 15 minutes of everyone's time turning the wave into a failure, and everyone was furious

Even the best player can make mistakes. By forcing them to use cobra to finish the wave quicker, the chance of that happening can actually be lowered.

You can't be this dumb. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WASTE TIME, DON'T LET ONE PLAYER FINISH THE WAVE.

Then why didn't you use missile, ops and gel to kill the guys that killed you?

Please read carefully. I said in the first post "The time limit does not apply to him if he doesn't have any more cobras"

But what if he uses his last rocket just to speed things up and you fail next wave because you have no rockets when you really need them?....Image IPB

The rules can be changed to "The time limit does not apply to him if he has only one or less cobra". Still, players are not accepting this

Why would you want to punish the one guy who didn't mess up as bad as the WHOLE TEAM, and is currently fighting for your lives.  What about a system that auto-kicks players who bleed out / get executed three rounds in a row?

Selecting between the auto-kick and spectating for a long time? I would pick auto-kick.

It's a game, and you force everyone to wait while you enjoy showing off your skills? I have a better idea, why don't you play solo instead?

Do you realize how jealous you actually sound? You really think they just want to show off and that's it? Maybe that's how you feel when you're the Lone Survivor but you shouldn't generalize every single one. This topic seems to have been spawned by jealousy rather than principally annoyance.

That said; you died, deal with it. You have no right to complain and should be grateful if the guy pulls it off, if he doesn't then you can possibly complain, provided they didn't use their consumables. Why on earth do I want to use my consumables when I can take something down how I like to. It's freedom. They are 'rewarded' that freedom when they're alone, they're allowed to do it however they like. Granted, when I'm alone and notice something is taking too long I rocket, but sometimes I don't because I just do not want to or the people kept bleeding out.

Why on earth should the sole survivor be given even more pressure just because everyone died and you want him to hurry up? To be frank, to turn it back on you and away from the survivor, that's ultimately selfish. Especially if said survivor kept reviving and trying to revive fallen teammates.

P.S. Counter Strike is CS, this isn't CS. It's completely different and shouldn't be compared.

Oh, so it's my jealousy and fault when the other 2 players also ask edthe guy to finish the wave faster, but he just runs around with a weak weapon against 2 or 3 bosses.

Reread what I quoted, you come across as exceptionally jealous.

It's partially your fault because surprise surprise... You died. Not the guy with a 'weak weapon', but you.

Besides, just because you come across a few players who don't want to speed things it up it doesn't mean all the other lone survivors in other games should be punished for it.

Otherwise be thankful there is someone there to carry you and earn the xp and credits the rest of the team wouldn't be able to earn on their own.

I have yet to run into players who refuse to use medigel.

So how come there's a guy soloing the wave ? Did the rest of the team die at least 5 times each already ?

Now that's wasting everyone's time

We can't control who dies or not. Sometimes they die because they tried to finish the objective before the time runs out. And I believe a lot of players still carry only 3 medigels with them

Well, you can control if you die and and the other players can control is they die, if they are decent players they sure as hell won't die several times in a match.

You seem jealous of the fact the person soloing the wave for 15 mins is not you. And if said player has to solo a wave for 15mins then you and your team are doing something terribly wrong

I'm sorry, grown ups have less time to play because they have work and family to attend to. They can't spend much time to play games, and when they do, they try to enjoy every seconds.

Ok, then I have even a better advice. DON´ T DIE!

How about DON'T WASTE EVERYONE'S TIME AND KEEP THE GAME MOVING FORWARD?

Umm, that's not wasting everyone's time, just saving the f*cking round, that you failed to complete.

They're still better than you though, since they survived longer.

You all wasted your own time, deal with it and move on. Block the person if needed.

If I'm the sole survivor (which happens more than you think because most people here just assume I'm a lousy player), I will use my cobra to kill the bosses left in the wave.

The 2 advantages of doing so:

1. Reduce the chance of failing the wave
2. Reduce the waiting time of the others

And I don't see why this is such a bad idea, and why soloing for 15 mins is highly praised.

Sometimes players can survive longer by being douchebags. They don't help out with the objectives, they don't protect their teammates who are doing the objectives, they stay away from the heat while their teammates are being swarmed.

And you call them better player.

I never heard people complaining about someone taking too much time soloing a wave, only compliments when successful.

Then I'm used playing with gentlemen

It seems that we belong in 2 factions

You believe that games should be played seriously, losers should get out.

I believe that games should be enjoyed every minute you're playing, time waster should get out.

Let the war begin.

If I'm the sole survivor (very, very rarely :P) then I'll use my own discretion whether or not to use a missile or 5. If I run around the corner and see 2 Banshees/Phantoms/Praetorians/Possessed Scions? MISSILE! Otherwise? I can kite them to death.

However, watching the sole survivor dance around for 15 mins helps nothing. Why? Because most of the enemies were killed before the 3 players die, so the sole survivor can run in circles kiting the last few enemies without anything slowing him down.

So the 3 players died for the team and have to waste another 15 minutes?

So the three players who consistently get themselves killed are better than the one who can finish the wave solo? The player finishing the wave solo hardly does anything except taking care of the leftovers? I find that hard to believe.

I hardly ever play a match where the entire team gets themselves killed except for one, never mind three times in a row. But when it happens, something is very wrong with the team. When you go down permanently, you've used your medigel either too early in the game or too late to prevent yourself from being stomped on or bleeding out or you were too close to a boss and got yourself sync killed or something like that. If that happens to you, that is your mistake, not of the one having to finish the wave solo. Whenever that happens to me, I kick myself and watch as the final player has to work hard to stay alive. When you're the last man standing all remaining enemies run at you as quickly as possible and even a few of them can quickly overwhelm you. Even that husk that jumps you as you're taking on a brute can kill you or a swarmer which you trip on while your shields are down. You need to be aware of everything and if you fail, the whole team wipes.

Unfortunately, I see people use their medigels as I am running towards them to revive them, sometimes on waves 1-3 when there really is no need to do so. So they run out of medigel and don't have any left for later. I see people not reviving a teammate that is right under their noses as they are too focused on making a kill. It sounds a lot like you were in a match like that, where people didn't work together.
