If nothing else, just seeing wild horses grazing or horses in stables wouldn't be a bad thing. They would add to the sense that we're exploring a living, breathing world.

I'd love to SEE horses in the game, their absence, much like polearms, is very conspicuous. I don't necesserily want mounts though, since the instanced world most likely do not make them desirable.

If it doesn't really add anything to gameplay. I prefer resources not be spent on it.
LOL. The day the BSN dies, this phrase needs to be mockingly plastered across its tombstone.

I think he's right in this instance, though. I'm sure BioWare has (very) limited resources for DA3 development; therefore, it's better to spend them on more meaningful things.Trista Faux Hawke wrote...

Lol, it's like Bioware is this stingy old grandpa, counting the three dollars he has in his brass money clip:
"Well kids we have enough fer pizza but ya can't add pepperoni and ya gotta share a sodee!"

Personally, I've been suggesting mounted combat for certain encounters since right after DA2 came out. I think it would add to alternate gameplay, and I don't think it's overly difficult so long as they can get the animation down, design a few levels around it, all that. It would be good to see horses, griffons, dwarves' livestock animals (can't think of the name, like a rhinoceros), even mabari and wolves, all as mounted units eventually. I see it as purely additive and potentially a lot of fun.

Don't forget that EA is the one giving the grandpa his pension. And the grandpa wants to get the most out of the money he is given.Trista Faux Hawke wrote...

Details like that can make an amazing game out of a good game.

Since Orlais seems to be place we're going to, horses would fit perfectly. BUT more important for me are bowstrings. The game ships in 2013, no bowstrings would be more odd than the lack of them were in the first two games.

On the other hand those details don't make a good game from a crap game, which is the more important area i think..
I'd like to see horses in the same way I'd like to see a dynamic world with weather and the like. It's nice but I'm not exactly in dire want If everything else is great then sure go for it but there are areas that've been lacking from the off that could do with sorting out prior to the addition of side dressings.

Heh then Bioware would have to begin making beasts again altogether. I mean Halla, Bronto, Deepstalkers, Wolves, Bears, Oxes and more wasn't in DA2 (though a few made it back in DLC mind you)
Halla! Yes, how could I forget. They have halla, and cow-ox things, so why no horses?
