Casey seems like a really nice guy. He shouldn't be thanking us, we should be thanking him. Regardless of how you feel about ME3, he gave us one of the greatest sci-fi trilogies of all time. I have spent literally hundreds of hours playing these three games and I don't regret a second of it.
Just to QFT your post AGAIN, I totally agree. Well put.
Casey is a boss. If I saw this gentleman on the street I would hug him.

Incorrect. Ever heard of "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"?. I sure as hell am not going to pre-order any more games given that much of the pre-release information about ME3 turned out to be untrue. I would not have bought the game if I had know this.In order to have a track record of fail you'd have to make more than one bad game in a series.
The problem is not that he made one bad game, but that he has evidently decided that it's now OK to lie to fans to inflate sales. I won't thank him for the ME series until such a time that I get a refund for ME3 (i.e. never).
On an unrelated note, yay, another idiot who has to put a "valid HTML/CSS" footer on a page that is neither valid HTML nor CSS. Seriously, how difficult is it too not put that on your website if you know that you can't write valid HTML?
You speak as if you were tricked in some way. They thought the ending they made was fine, and it wasn't, now we can move on. I can only speak for myself, but I know that there wasn't much anyone could have told me that would have stopped me from buying ME3. Not to mention they did right by the multiplayer.
I would rather be in a world with a Mass Effect with a terrible ending, than be in world with no Mass Effect at all. I also won't rob myself of a good experience because I assume they don't learn from mistakes or in this case, fan back-lash. Will I buy their next game (DA3) sight unseen? Most likely, but I usually find something to like in all Bioware games.

An amazing journey indeed. No matter what happened the last 15 minutes in ME3, you can't change that journey and experience I had over three games.

Of all the true things in the world, this is the truest.
And to be fair, there is nothing in the world of art and entertainment that makes me feel the same color of bewilderment, melancholy, and weirdness as that ending -- so I can't even call it terrible.

I'm not talking about the ending. I don't much like the ending, but that's not the reason I am angry. I am angry because Bioware made statements prior to release that turned out to be untrue; statements, that because video games are bought unseen, greatly influenced my decision to buy the game so yes, I do feel tricked. [You can find a complete list here]You speak as if you were tricked in some way. They thought the ending they made was fine, and it wasn't, now we can move on. I hate to love him, and I love to hate him ( doesn't make much sense I know lol ). Without him, I would never had experienced ME1 and 2.
But I was still disappointed by ME3 as a whole, not just the ending. And I am sad to see the direction that they are going.

The guy is supremely talented and a class act. Hate all you want, but this universe exists because of him, and for that I am appreciative.

Paying that small amount for years and years of his time, dedication and passion. Id say that he gave more than he took.

Yeah save that picture for after DA3 and ME4 release. In order to have a track record of fail you'd have to make more than one bad game in a series.
They've released 3 duds back to back(DA2, TOR, ME3). It's not unreasonable to see a trend.

half of those pre-interview quotes are subjective at best. The only two I say that have any weight to them are the Rachni quote (which was untrue in the end) and the A,B,C quote, which even then I feel is on shakey ground for me. And if you really were tricked by them, then it is your own fault you got suckered into listening to PR Hype on a game, something that should always be ignored since it is designed to make the game the best thing since sliced bread.
And frankly, considering how most people around here act, I doubt you will get any apology, nor do you deserve one either if you ask me.

I hear you. I hate that Casey ruined Dragon Age 2 and The Old Republic, that guy just doesnt get it. Anyway I won't even speak on The Old Republic being bad or not, as it's ability to contend with the likes of WoW was doomed from the start. If Star Wars can't even touch WoW then maybe companies need to stop making pay 2 play mmos.
There is only a trend if you want there to be one. I'll be sure to revisit this opinion once I complete Dragon Age 3. My issues with Dragon Age 2 were technical and had nothing to do with the story.

No. Just no. Fraud is illegal for a reason.
I'm not accusing Bioware of criminal fraud, but to say that the victim of deception in any instance is to blame then you are just wrong.
