For that matter, how do they view an older Asari of 500+ years and a 30 year old human? I guess it depends on how they view stuff like I said in the above paragraph. Also, how young exactly can an Asari get pregnant and give birth? At least past physical maturity, right? Finally, what is their aging speed? Do Asari go through a 60 year puberty, and take 60 years to develop as much as a human does in 10 years?
I know I shouldn't really think about this, but such a long lived people make me wonder about it. I wonder the same stuff about Krogan, who also live about as long as Asari do.

To be honest, even if Shepard survived and had blue babies with Liara immediately after the Reapers, he wouldn't live long enough to even see them reach their teenage years.Finn the Jakey wrote...
Wait, so Shepard could die of old age before ever having blue babies with Liara?

If you've ever read any ann mccaffrey, the Dragons can go 'in between', the Asari apparently do so as well, taken from that scene, the images were of that space between now and then, without describing either.(technically folding spacetime, etc.)

actually OP, She apparently gave Shep a 'dose' of the Asari version of the here after. In that, "the gift" was an insurance policy that permits Sheps return, as Liara took a snapshot of Sheps enity. Liara isn't pregnant.. per se, only endowed with Sheps DNA records, like Javik with his meme stick.. Liara can now reproduce Shepard anytime, if she survives.

Dammit, EW. I had myself confident in the fact that Liara is being honest about her intentions, and that she DOES mean for this to be a gesture between close friends (and even then, I still generally turn her down because it seems too intimate a gesture when she's not romanced). But if that's a possibility, it means that she has the potential to use that snapshot to create Shepard's child one day, with Shepard not only dead and unable to consent to it but with none of the others there and alive to call her on it.
I still would find it wildly out of character, but it's the idea of it being a possibility that makes it uncomfortablefor me.

I found it to be a very nice scene regardless of romance or not. Liara is sharing fond memories with a close friend of hers. That's all it is. Nothing more, nothing less. There is room for headcanon if you romanced her but otherwise she does exactly what she tells you.
I think part of the reason why people are so confused by her is just how similar her dialogue and writing is between a romanced and non-romanced Liara. I remember reading this idea in another thread (sorry I cannot remember which one) that this is a possible reason why people can be put off by her. It was a failure of the writing to really distinguish between Liara as a friend and Liara as a lover. This is why Liaramancers feel like the romance is somewhat dull in the middle of the game and non-Liaramancers feel like she is being pushed on you. Both states of being are just far too similar. The gift scene in London is one example of just how similar they are; either scene could be appropriate for a romance even though one is not meant to be.

First of all, you're lumping ephebophilia with pedophilia; the latter only applies to prepubescents. Second, 60ish seems to be the asari equivalent of 18, so anything younger than that probably wouldn't go over well, assuming asari don't have one particular biological/cultural difference that they don't tell anyone about (though since there's no sign of it whatsoever, I seriously doubt it). Beyond that, my guess is that after an asari breaks 100 or so, all they really pay attention to is the stage that an asari is in, and would care less about individual centuries.Maybe off topic, but I've long
had a disturbing curiosity on how Asari view pedophilia. I mean, being
under 100 years old makes one considered a child if you're an Asari. So
do they see a 500 year old and an 80 year old as creepy as humans see a
40 year old and a 16 year old? Or is being physically mature enough to
look like a woman good enough, and they don't care about age as long as
both have a womans body, which would mean they would have no problem
with a matriarch Asari of a thousand years and a maiden of twenty years
as long as both look like an adult. Or do they not have a problem in any
way whatsoever about ages in general, and would see nothing wrong with
an adult Asari going for a 10 year old Asari who doesn't even have
breasts yet?
Very interesting... and from my point of view, something that worked out wonderfully. Perfectly, even, if she actually did it.actually OP, She apparently gave Shep a 'dose' of the Asari version of
