Well, they're just gonna hate her regardless, no?  Hate needs fuel, or it's just whiny sh!t by whiny sh!ts.

but your childern will not look like you in anyway or really carry on your legacy they will always be Asari

They won't be human but they will carry something from you in them. Asari choose their bondmates for reasons beyond physical beauty, what they use from you to create the offspring's DNA is pretty much the essence of your character, your very pattern. The child is always Asari but "something has been gained", that's why Asari mate with people from other species.

What's more is not only your DNA lives on in your child, but your legacy, your way of thinking, your ideas, your culture, everything that you can pass down to the next generation. And despite she will never meet her children, Asari have ways to tell each other things other species don't. What if Liara showed Shepard her life in her final gift and in exchange, she copied hers? This way they could have exchanged their memories. This would enable Liara to show their children Shepard's life. But even if she couldn't, the legend of Shepard, the stories told by her comrades and friends should inspire the blue children to pick up the ball where she dropped it.

So yes. Something from Shepard will definitely live on in her children.

Well, games aren't big on nuance, especially when pewpew MP/Co-Op outsells it a thousand-to-one.  You get whatcha pay for.

Ah...yeah...

"Make Liara Old Reaper Baby, performing a wierd asari ritual right before final mission in order to survive." I think that was the intention, but they cut it away last moment, but still - few pieces of cutscene were left in game.

And it's also entirely possible, that Second Human Spectre was another candidate to do so!!!

i would not be suprized if she was. liara had an eye for history and she wanted to pereseve sheps legacy, as hinted to by the time capsule and here beacon in the no choice ending. in fact, i have it as a major plot point in my guess of fours plot.

I didn't walk to her on Earth due to this very fear. No way am I going to risk being mind raped, not even if its a slim chance.

You understand that the gift is optional, right? She doesn't actually pin you down and force herself into your mind.

But refusing her is the most Renegade option you can take during the game, in my opinion. The farewell to Liara and Garrus are the most beautiful moments in the Forward Operating base, there, on the edge of nothing. Those moments you share with them as the world burns around you. And it's not just the Liara fan speaking in me.

Which is why if you dislike Liara, you shouldn't care about going renegade on her ass.

Basically, being Renegade is not caring about going tough on everybody's ass, just do everything your way,  don't give a f**** about other people, get what you want and walk across anyone who crosses your path. So what you say is basically the archetype of  Renegade Shepard. A Paragon refusing her gift would be out of character in my opinion.

What is the conversation if you say no anyway? I've never refused it, and I probably never will, so I've got no idea.

I'm guessing it's more along the lines of "No thanks" than "F*ck off" though, right?

Shepard basically says now isn't the time, there are more important things at hand (you ****** liara).

Then Liara bashfully, disappointed  (possibly offended) says your right while trying to hide her embarassment.

I like choosing it.

Edit; found a video, but i don't think its the LI version.
i remember her being more upset.

Yep. That sounds like Liara. She does the same thing with Vigil.

Well, same here. Refusing her? Liara deserves more. Liara deserves a compassionate hero.

Who knows? She's Asari, which doesn't only mean that she's a space Lesbian, but also that she's a space mystic.

Even for a super-renegade like me, refusing her is a real kick in the balls. Iv'e done it twice (once when I was romancing her)
