I didn't buy this DLC since I didn't really like DA2 and never replayed it. Was it worth it?

MotA is a fantastic DLC, it's everything DA2 should've been: Interesting banter, awesome cutscenes, some semblence of choice, balanced combat encounters, gorgeous enviorments and decent exploration.

Tallis is best described as 'luke-warm'. That entire DLC could've been done without her, and it wouldn't have made a difference. She is nothing special. Maybe I didn't spend enough time with her, idk. Not a Bioware calibur character at all, and I say that in the least jerkish way possible, she just doesn't seem to have that x-factor that Bioware characters have.

I very much enjoyed Mark of the Assassin, and I liked Tallis as well, so I wouldn't mind if she returned in Dragon Age: Inquisition in some capacity.

I hate Tallis with a passion and not because of Felicia Day. Her character seems forced in every way including removing any agency from the PC in order to show how "awesome" she is.

I would love Tallis as a companion too, but not romanceable, unless the player didn't romance her in MotA. If the player did romance her, then she should reject the protag's advances.

Also, Hawke should show up with Tallis, when the player first runs into her, IF she was Hawke's LI. They separate and Tallis joins you (or doesn't depending on choices, and stays with Hawke or something).

For me, the only game where I managed to properly romance Tallis, was in my Hawke + Anders game, where Anders inevitably died because she sided with the Templars, but in MotA I did not bring Anders at all (otherwise I would not have been able to properly romance Tallis). In any case, for that situation, I think it would be appropriate to consider Tallis as Hawke's true LI, and the above paragraph should apply as an imported choice, however, if Tallis was 1 of 2 companions romanced by Hawke/the player, the same thing should apply, but Hawke's and Tallis' relationship should be altered depending on your choices then, in DA3.

Her abilities were quite good and I didn't find her to be the glass cannon that others did.

Did I love Tallis as a person? I'm a little more ambivalent on that front. She was quite funny, but her approach to killing was totally nonsensical. She feels regret over killing one guard, but she doesn't hesitate to murder wounded Tal'Vashoth? She kills Arlange's men and then begs mercy for the idiot who ordered them to their deaths?

Did she really think she was going to break into a heavily-guarded estate and get out without harming anyone? You don't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

She was boring. If I'm gonna have anyone related to the Qun I want one of the angry "burn it down" "kill it do death" variety.

Tallis only kills mercilessly when she has no choice, otherwise, she tries to avoid killing. As for getting in and out without killing anyone, she believes killing people (especially those not-so innocent) to complete the mission she gave herself, to be better than letting lots of innocent people die. To be precise, she just wants to reduce the number of deaths, and so she believes less people dying, is the best and/or only alternative. Also, she couldn't just sit by and do nothing, hence defying the Qun to stop Salit.

I'm actually a fan of Felicia Day and really enjoy The Guild but was a bit less of a fan of Tallis over all.

Rockstar recently said they were avoiding celebrity VA's for GTA5 because they could be a "distraction", and I think there is something in that, I think if a voice that you are very familar with pops up in a video game it can sometimes (not all the time) be immersion breaking, and for whatever reason, for me this was one of those examples,

Similarly, when I first played Shadows of the Dammed, I spend a good hour at the start of the game thinking "I know that voice" before realising it was the voice actor for Anders, and for the rest of the game I felt like I was running about with a talking Anders gun.. I think any game that uses a VA that you are very familar with from another role can loose something, its an extra barrier to believing the character (or something).

I thought Tallis felt out of place in the DA-world even if I liked MotA as a whole.
I don't really think Day is a good enough voiceactress either.

I think Felicia Day is adorable and I liked Tallis, but there were more things I wanted to say/argue about with Tallis and couldn't that it got a bit annoying. Maybe cause I mostly play mages and couldn't say "Look at what your people do to mine!" *frothy froth* So you know... I wouldn't hate seeing her again, but I would like it if my protagonist didn't feel forced into liking her like my Hawkes did.

I happen to love Tallis. Not Felicia Day, who I only have a vague idea of her doing... something on the internet. Tallis was cool, I liked her slight lisp and her whimsical, quirky demeanor. I ALSO liked the way she was walking the line between Qunari and Tal Vashoth. I hope we'll see her again, and I think we will since it seems unlikely a DLC will be largely focused on her and then just have her character fall by the wayside. Also MotA ROCKED.

i agree on this. imagine how i felt whlile playing uncharted2 and
realised (early enough on the game) that Flyn was alistair and Cloe was
Morrigan (Claudia black).
Speaking of claudia black she is one of my favorites.
The apex of immersion breaking was Dianna allers  in
Me3, terrible voice actor (felicia day stomped her), unlikeable
character, totally unimportant (thank god for that) but at the same time
advertised.

Not matter what that still doesn't justify her being all guilty over that guard. The guard's job was to stop us, by force, if necessary. If she can dance around and killing crows like it was a game, she should not feel guilty over guard.

Anyway I didn't like her. She was hypocritical and tried to hard to be funny. Not to mention arrogant with a tendency to one up all my companions and since they were my friends that annoyed me.

I would rather not see her again. Sten was enough Qunari for me.

Having a character that can leap 100 feet through the air, just makes me cringe. Simple as that.

I love Felicia Day so much and the character was often funny and interesting. However, she did have more than a few Mary Sue qualities, but written well, these should be ironed out if she were to appear, especially as a companion. But to be fair, she needed some of them in order to explain the Qunari lore and setting of the Montfort Estate as she was the ONLY one who knew any context. I liked her and thought she was good for the overall image of the Qunari, not just stoic Sten clones because that just wasn't a fair representation of them.

And just so people know, it wasn't a real romance. It was like Aveline, Samara and Kelly Chambers. It doesn't mean anything.

I liked Tallis and I wouldn't mind her coming back. Felicia Day gave a fine performance both in Mark of the Assassin and in Dragon Age: Redemption.

I would like that very much. I'm quite the fan of Talis, for all that she is Qunari.
Strange how I dislike the Qun so much but I am yet to find a follower of it to dislike in kind.

I'm actually more concerned about the "list" Talis got away with were there any important chantry members names on it?

Now that would be intresting to find out.
