Anyone figured out how to do this sidequest? It's in the mage tower (for the Broken Circle main quest). You collect  a few journal entries, then the quest changes to tell you that so-and-so failed to figure it out in the Great Hall.

In the Great Hall, there are 3 statues, and it's pretty obvious from the clues that you need to activate the statue with the bowl, then the raised sword, then the lowered sword, then spear dude out in the other area. Problem is, when you try to activate the statues, you just get shocked. Even if its the bowl one, which is supposed to be done first.

Bugged, or am I missing something?

Ah, nevermind. Just needed to go further - it wasn't the spear statue from before.

Can you explain what you did, because I've cleared everything in the tower up to the demon that sends you to the Fade, and I still can't get this quest to work. Do you need to use an item in your inventory or something? With a fresh reload, having not touched any statues, clearing the entire floor, I still get shocked trying to examine the bowl statue.

Make sure to only click once on each item - bowl, raised sword, lowered sword. I found that sometimes I clicked a second time, and it made an 'error' in the whole process.

ok ive done the same i get the statutes left.middle.right but nothingt hen happens wats up wqith that? is there more? i really need to get this quest done so ic an get 100% completetion

actually i just got the update (wow that was lucky i gess) btw its left.middle,right,statue near the staris withtnhe sheild and then you can go into the absement and i dont know fromt hen on

You click 1 time on left right then middle THEN you go to the center room (Where the abominations were before stairs up) and click the statue there.



THEN go downstairs to the basement entrance.

if you get shocked you pressed it too often and need to redo the sequence ... there is (iirc) no visual clue that you clicked it.

wasn't aware of that myself and never realized that I clicked the statue twice (got shocked) until I read something about it somewhere else. But once I knew that and tried it out it worked fine

There is no indication you've "used" the statues properly for some reason, so you click each once, then go to the room by the Stairwell up with the Abominations and the Statue in the center holding the Shield, activate this one and then you'll get a Message saying something in the lower levels has been released.

On the Xbox version there's a small explosion of colored smoke when you hit the correct statue, as opposed to the shock you receive when you hit the wrong one.

You can complete this quest after you go into the fade i just did it. And is that all it does is releases a named rage demon with with crap loot?
