I'd rather the character had a British or American accent. Although if Bioware decided to have the character do a French accent, then he would have to have a more "young" voice to make the character sound cool. So either way is fine.

I'd personally like to have a PC with an Orlesian accent, assuming the PC will be Orlesian. Though an English accent would be fine, too.

In fact, can I just put in a vote for the voice actress that plays the Sith Warrior in SW:TOR? I'd adore playing an entire game with her as the female PC's voice again. I thought she was amazing.

refined british gentleman would be cool (french...well I'd rather not...even more if it is exaggerated...also even a normal french accent is getting my riled up normally...even more because IMHO one should learn a foreign language without much of an accent (that is not really hard...i should know, i am from germany (bavaria to be exact and we speak accented german (heavily accented at that)) and i have learned to speak my own tongue without all that much of an accent and english without much of any kind of accent, too)...)

I'm hoping the player characters is not yet another hero from Ferelden. We've already had two of those. Thedas is a big continent populated by many different peoples. There is plenty of room for heroes who don't have a connection to Ferelden.

If the player character isn't Orlesian himself, than I hope his origins lie in another region other than Ferelden. Like the Anderfels, for example.

On a side note, I have to disagree with all of those people who automatically assume that a French accent is somehow 'bad.'

Have you all forgotten Riordan and Leliana?

Riordan's accent was bad@ss, and Leliana's was sexy.
