Sure, if you're a Dalish Elf in Dragon Age II.

I dunno could just give the Dalish something new to complain about. "You dirty Shemlen destroyed our culture, enslaved our people, stole our lands, and now you're stealing our accent? Damn Shemlen!"

In fact, can I just put in a vote for the voice actress that plays the Sith Warrior in SW:TOR? I'd adore playing an entire game with her as the female PC's voice again. I thought she was amazing.

Serious response: I'm fine with a French accent as long as it is one pleasing to the ears, like Riordan or Leliana.

Accent-neutral as always.

Oh hell no not Orlesian, I plan on playing as a guy, and French is the most feminine language out there, there's nothing sexier on a girl than a French accent, but for men, I just laugh.

Yes, I liked that actor very much, as well; I'd love to hear more from them.

I hope our DA3 character has an Orlessian accent, it would be most fitting seeing as Orlais is going to be the setting of DA3, which I'm glad because I've been to France and would like to Bioware's depiction of France.
This.
I'm hoping the player characters is not yet another hero from Ferelden. We've already had two of those. Thedas is a big continent populated by many different peoples. There is plenty of room for heroes who don't have a connection to Ferelden.
If the player character isn't Orlesian himself, than I hope his origins lie in another region other than Ferelden. Like the Anderfels, for example.
On a side note, I have to disagree with all of those people who automatically assume that a French accent is somehow 'bad.'
Have you all forgotten Riordan and Leliana?
Riordan's accent was bad@ss, and Leliana's was sexy.
