I'm about to start the last part (ME 3) of my series re-play for my "main" Shep, and I decided to check out the MEHEM because I wanted to give her (in my mind) a nice send-off.

Now, the word on the street is that it's been hinted that the next Mass Effect game will be set in the future and that we should hold on to our save files.  As a person not well-versed in modding, code or anything of the like, I'm thinking using the mod would mean I couldn't carry this particular Shepard's story forward into the next game.  Am I correct?  Also, if that is right, would I be able to use the mod, then go back at a later date, remove the mod and replay the last mission again?

Glad to hear you like the mod :).
I didn't change anything that would interfere with setting flags in the save game, so in theory, you should be fine.

HOWEVER, I take NO responsibility if saves will not work with future ME products. Any kind of modding such a complex game can potentially interfere with savegames in unanticipated ways. It is very possible that this is the case here.

Uninstalling the mod and replaying the game is definitely possible though. If you want to be on the absolute save side, keep one save right before you start Cronos Station (Cerberus HQ). That should definitely be uncorrupted and ready to use.
Hope that helps :).

Thank you so much for your quick response AND for the mod, of course. :)

I figured keeping an extra save might help and that's the route I'm going to go though truth be told, I wouldn't mind doing another ME 3 play-through right before release of the next game if I had to.

Bah, if future ME games with imports don't recognize saves with your mod, then it's not a game worth buyingPosted Image

i doubt, that future games will have an import option from this series.
