Yeah I think that's sort of a give, I kinda wanna see other accents as well. Ala Russian, Arabic, Chinese, German, French, Turkish and so on and so on. Long shot I know, but who knows.

Depends, the French accents will surely be in the game (since Orlais is going to be the primary setting), Nevarra is at least partly based on Prussia, so I wouldn't be suprised to see people with German accents in the game, Chinese wouldn't make any sense, since as far as I know no nation in Thedas is based on the Chinese, the Qunari are partially based on Muslims (primarily on Turks and Arabs), so some of them having Turkish or Arabic accents in the third game wouldn't be a surprise, as for Russian, that would be nice, but as far as I know, no country (out of the ones we know of) in Thedas is based on Russia.

Maybe its because I'm Scottish and hear British accents all the time, but I really do not see the appeal of British accents.

It seems to be a novelty outside of the UK and Ireland. Especially in the states.

Though when an American says British accent 9 time out of 10 they mean an English accent. Afterall there's technically no such thing as a "British accent" per say as Britian has a several nationalities each with their own distinct accents and dialects.

I thought they got an alright mix of Irish accents, for example Keeper Marethari has a softer southern accent. The harsher northern Irish accents to to leave more of a lasting impression, maybe lol.

Merril was probably the only welsh accent this time around to make her more distinguishable. The sequel will likely have other Dalish with Welsh voice actors.

Really? I had no idea. I always thought it was a deliberate choice to be Irish and Welsh from the offset. The whole celtic connection thing. I wonder does that mean they plan to have the Dalish be exclusively Welsh in future titles or continue with a mix from here on in?

A accent is really a product of current and past living environments.
If I spent years in another area my accent will change to sound more like the one other people in the area use, because I'm sub-consciously trying to be easier to be understood.

I never even noticed the accents in the previous games, since I live in the UK so it just sounds "normal". I particularly liked Merrill's welsh accent, so I hope that they continue that trend into the next game and give dalish characters welsh accents, although I doubt we'll have another dalish elf as a companion in the next game (I hope we do, but it seems unlikely somehow).

French accents are a given if we'll spend a portion of the game in Orlais, although I can't remember if Orlais has it's own language or if they just speak accented "english". Will we be hearing any actual french? Antiva is based on Spain but the only person from there i remember having anything resembling an accent is Zevran. Then again I can't remember many characters from Antiva at all.

As for other accents, only if they fit. I think that German could work with Nevarra/ the Anderfels, and I'm unsure what the tevinter imperium would have as an accent, although as far as I remember magisters so far haven't had any accents in particular. Maybe something Turkish? I think Tevinter is based on the ottoman empire, but I might be wrong there.

Antiva is based on medieval Venice, not Spain, and the Tevinter Imperium is based on the Byzantine Empire (the Eastern Roman Empire), not the Ottoman Empire, so the Tevinter accent should be Greek, since the Byzantine Empire was ruled by Greeks and the Greeks made up the majority of it's population.

Actually, no you can't, because that is her same clan. It's the clan she's from in DA:O, and in DA2.
(Unless, I missed some dialog because I never romanced her...)
