I have been asking for this for months, but everyone just pipes in and says you have stagger immunity during a res. I call BS. Then tell me why I'm dead before I can fire a shot. Sure I can heavy melee, but what good is that when you have five stagger resistant bad guys standing over your corpse. Sure you can dodge, unless you are surrounded by bad guys, or are a non dodging character.

Bioware will not do anything about it. I think they get a kick out of watching people wast their consumables. More lost consumables means more consumables you have to get from the store.

Ouh, and we need a better death cam view, the oe currently obsures half of my body, which is where the kicks always come from...

the problem is that the animation to get back up is around 3-5 seconds, and in that time we can take damage and get insta killed. we need a 5 sec minimum of invulnerability/stagger resistance

yes please (it doesnt have to be super good just good enough to make sense to medigel in tough situations and have a chance to use survival pack)

Agreed, I think it's bad game design to have anyone revive right back into a situation beyond their control that en in their death. I don't know what a fair immunity time would be, maybe whatever time it takes to stand up plus 1-2 seconds, but some kind of stagger/instakill immunity would make the game less frustrating (ie more fun).

Since the moment you are "awakened" the enemy is able to hit you. Until you are not fully awake you don't get your shields/health depleted...but...any hit you have taken from an insta-kill enemy COUNTS for the melee hit necesary for getting insta-kill. That also happens with the husks and abominations. So, let's say you are awaked, you get one melee hit from a phantom that doesn't hurt you, but as soon as you are fully awake that phantoms instakills you, since she already got his melee hit necesary for the instakill. That's the thing that needs fixing, specially on harder dificulties when phantoms and company have a 60% -  80% percent of getting you instakill and being revived among them becomes an exercise of luck and almost seems like we are getting punished for reviving a down partner or using our gel.

Ah, this one takes me back...
My Asari goes down, teammie revives me, and instantly as I'm getting my blue tush up, a wild husk appears and grabs me, I see the button-madhing prompt and all, and it works, but since the getting-up animation's been interrupted by husk, my Asari looks like she's breakdancing 80s style, with husk nowhere in sight.

plus im sick of medigel/revive and rolling around on the floor even longer than if i would just stood there. but if i stood there i would be beat and shot to death, so its a catch 22.

i find myself saying "get the **** up already!!" or "god dam... stand the **** up" meanwhile my character is break dancing on the floor.

we need to remove that dumb animation or make it x10 faster, i imagine that would cure half the problem with medigel/revives.

i mean seriously.... what are our characters 90 year old? or are they fit soldiers for battle in a sci-fy fantasy game were medigel heals instantly.

Another thing I thought of is like a "wake-up attack". The revive/medi-gel processes causes minor damage, but a decent amount of knock-back to enemies within the revive radius. :)

Considering how long it takes to get controls back that "knock back revive radius" better push all the enemies on the map against the furthest away walls.

i should have mentioned it happens when i do the dodge on revive, i was asuming other people would know what i was talking about , but after rereading my post i should have clairified.

which case i do the dodge to avoid being grabbed, staggered, or shot but it takes like 3 or 4 dodge's before our character finally gets to their feet... which is incredibly long time.
