Or, at least, give us some better stagger mechanics. I have no idea why a brute that smacks me from behind causes me to stagger backwards right into it. That's... that's not Physics.


Praetorian Stagger Swipe Hugs combo also does that :D

Ooohhh yeah. How about eliminating the enemy spawn camping as well? A lot of the OP's examples are due to a herd of enemies camping over downed bodies.

There should also be some immunity after spawning upon entering an in-progress game.

Earlier today I searched for a U/U/G match, got an in-progress mission, and the instant the level loaded I was sync-killed by a banshee, no chance to move at all (and since the existing team were already all dead it was instant mission failure too... shortest gold mission ever for me).

Hey, that's a fair point- I'd also like to see some form of temporary immunity upon entering a game. I went into a U/U/G as well and found myself getting shanked by a phantom right off the starting line. (And got blamed for dying that fast after the match!) What the heck?!

Fortunately, I was the only casualty that round... I imagine you must have raged, though. Did you have consumable equipment on? o .o

Lolwut.  This mechanic kinda makes sense, so I believe that Bioware won't ever put anything of said sort in.  Though spawning in an in-progress in middle of a hot zone with 4-6 foes shooting at you is never fun(And that's even worse).

Oh and I bet that Bioware laughs at those who attempt to get up vs Collectors or Geth with foes anywhere nearby, only for the helpless medi-gelers to find out that they just died, again.  And so the cycle repeats with said player using 4-5 gels and a missile, considering the state of PUGs today.

I wasn't gonna comment on this, but meh here goes

I typically like my soldier classes, I started the game with the human soldier and while I can play other classes like adepts etc perfectly fine the one thing I enjoy the most is getting out the Sabre and exploding some skulls, so soldier was typically great for this. When the Destroyer was released I was in heaven, since it was my instant favourite class for being Terminator and killing everything

now I remember the other reason why, because he doesn't get staggered by every freaking gust of wind that comes by (please god never let this change)

Have been playing a lot of different class lately, for weekend challenges or just felt like some variety and trying classes I have never played and sometimes it is AWFUL

Im a big hulking Krogan, a walking tank, lol no I am a staggering little girl, I spend my time in front of enemies doing these weird expressive dance movements

Im a Turian Ghost Infiltrator, but no that combat drone firing toilet paper at me stumbles the hell out of me, for some reason I can't activate stimpacks either when that single rocket trooper has just hit me with 2 missles he fired at once

It's just a huge pain in the ass and extremely EXTREMELY frustrating, because it removes control from me for often trivial reasons, stunlocking is a poor mechanic currently. I don't mind a Prime or an Atlas etc staggering me because they fire very powerful weapons or even a Brute when he steamrolls over me because that makes sense

but not some trivial little mook break dancing me into an incap, half of them already troll me with the often non existent shield gate

arguably most of these problems happen playing the Geth, a bloody awful enemy to play sometimes not because they are necessarily difficult, but because their love of stunlock is no fun

and now it has started to invade Cerberus with the roadrunner Dragoons

I'd rather be sync killed by a Banshee tbh

Yeah, but nothing worth crying over. I always put sub-optimal but still useful consumables on before searching, and only put the good stuff on if I get a lobby.

Honestly, I think it would help if enemies just didn't see you until after you're fully in the game. As it is, they appear to see you and start targeting you before you finish the loading screen, and although you're immune during that period, it means that by the time loading finishes they're already on top of you. If the moment you are able to move and the moment enemies first see you actually coincided, I doubt there would be any issues.

I just ran a gold PUG with a N7 Slayer Vanguard, and vanguards are by far my worst class, and I'd never used one on gold before. The team was pretty bad, I had to clutch about half the waves; my only real problem was when phantoms came at me in pairs and all those damn turrets engineers kept setting up.

Then wave 10, we got important enemy personnel, so I figured we were lucky and could maybe get the cash (I still had three rockets). Of course, half the team gets taken down by turrets in seconds. Me and the remaining guy are together, but both of us got blindsided by a phantom. I know he has no medigel left, I still do, and the second I use it, that same phantom melee staggered then sync-killed me.

The worst thing is, the camera angle was such that I couldn't even see she was standing above me while in the death screen (I always seem to get horrible angles in the death screen, 50% of the time I can't see it if I get stomped).

Same thing happened to me couple of days ago. Got in FB:Goddess, Gold, I was instagrabbed by Banshee at the moment I was in game, no chance to do anything. Luckily there was one player left who was able to solo rest of the wave. One more reason not to equip consumables when you search for game, but in the lobby.

this would be nice...

atleast once a day i get chain-mauled by enemies that camp my body and perma-stunlock me into that spot, no matter how much i stealth, sidestep, dash or roll, it might as well be game over at that point

without a chance for the player to do ANYTHING, its pathetic

Im a huge fan of husks all lining up to eat my face. Get one down and instantly another one jumps on. Spent 30 seconds on an extract wave just trying to fight off husks as a Krogan.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Because things like insta grabs and, well, some teams just don't have what it takes I made it a habit NOT to equip consumables when I search for games. If I find a lobby I of course equip consumables.

Sorry I wasn't clear. Because things like insta grabs and, well, some teams just don't have what it takes I made it a habit NOT to equip consumables when I search for games. If I find a lobby I of course equip consumables.


Oh.
Then let that be a general expression of condolence to all consumables everyone has lost over the months due to that. :(

Yup, most annoying part of the game. Last man standing, get downed but can't revive yourself because you know the phantom/banshee/etc will immediately animate you before you can even move.
