Anything can "shred" on Cerberus Gold. It's effing Cerberus, half of the non-boss units are infantry with pissant shields. Oh God no, not Nemesis and Centurions! However will I defeat them without aid from the mighty Geth Engineer and his Overload! Dragoons? A big who-care after the whine-patch was initiated, as long as you got a piercing mod on, they become absolute jokes.

Listen to Ash, that man loves da Geth Engineer and Quarian Female Engineer. Best player I know for either class.

I made a post about this a while back the day the GPR was buffed, Its a solid gun and viable in the hands of a GE, GI, GS, n7 destroyer, and turian soldier

Indeed, I don't get why people get so butthurt because I made a build not using the Harrier/PPR/other ultra rare weapon.

One thing though is that as soon as an opponent sneezes at you, you are dead so if your teammates aren't in the mood to rez you, be prepared to spend medi-gels. Must really make good use of that hunter mode.

If you stand in the open with 375 shields, you shouldn't expect less. Besides, shieldgate.

A build that can work but no points what so ever in fitness is nothing I like.
yes, even with fitness 6 he's still squishy as hell but it takes more than one bullet to get rid of your shields and 2 more for the kill.
the 1-2 seconds reaction time you gain are IMO well worth the points.

I may be missing out on something but I personally just totally skip the turret and go all overload+ Cryo/disruptor/incendiary ammo.

However I agree that combined with any techplosion ammo the GPS really is now a pretty viable gun on gold. The light weight allows to use a more than decent 2ndary pistol as well.

You need a Gengineer to show that the GPR is not terrible?

My Paladin disagrees, he rather likes the immaculate accuracy, low recoil, high capacity and mediocre damage, which allows him to provide support at range instead of sitting there for two minutes while enemies walk towards you. Also, bayonet.

Well, he IS one of the characters best suited for the GPR. I also prefer to use Geth weapons on my Geth characters.

Something tells me you're one of those people that will spam Overload on Brutes and Ravagers when the team is trying to set off biotic combos.

Agree. I'm just using the GPR for the challenge. But its still effective, if not in the same tier as those two ARs. I used to think it was gold-capable at all. Now I find it is, with this setup (or rather, my setup, which ignores HM and specs into full fitness).

Alsoooo.. didn't get a screenshot of the game after this one, which I got 50k more than the guy in second place. But nonetheless, here's something other than Cerberus for ya. Only downed three times that game, no consumables used.

No, but you might down if your Overload is on (a long) cooldown at a critical time.

I haven't played against Reapers with this setup yet. However, if there's a biotic on the team that's taking care of the armored targets, I wouldn't Overload-spam it. If it was me taking care of a Brute/Ravager on my own, then obviously I would do that.

Using it to set off FEs is perfectly acceptable, however. Use Throw twice.

Either way, I find the turret (and really all pets in this game) to be fairly irrelevant. I spec 4 into it to get the healing from it, and go 4 into Fitness. I might respec and skip the turret altogether. I find I frequently forget I have turrets/drones on my characters that can use them, and just don't throw them out again.

Also, OP, try a Saber on a GE.

I cannot find the original post but the GPR is like having a sensational ****** compared to the discple, that peice of **** goes through enemies, stuns when it feels like working and still get 15-20k points per silver game

GPS over disciple anyday, the disciple almost killed my love for this game, it is the true heartbreaker in this game

Not sure if talking about the Pulse Rifle or Plasma Shotgun.

Anyway, you could always slap on a Cyclonic IV if you feel the build is TOO squishy, thought that was obvious enough.
