Frost... is a great engine. When done right.
Look at MOH:WF to see how it can be done so very wrong.
As long as it stays true to the ME universe, I think it will be a great thing. Especially since there's far more support for different graphics settings, etc.
BF3 shows that larger more varried maps can be created which can open up classes to be more distinctive. It also will bode well for MP, which face it, is where the franchise is going. Nearly 8 mos. and only 1 real DLC??? makes it obvious that SP is no longer a priority.
If I'm proven wrong, though, and SP is made spectacular again, then Frost. can only be an improvement, IMO
Unrelated...
Different people work on the MP and the SP. Plus designing a SP DLC is much more complicated than the multiplayer DLCs so they will come out much slower. It requires a much bigger team, a story, new designs, schedules with the voice actors, editing, tweaking, cutting, adding, testing, repeating, etc.
No idea why you're appologizing for BW here... I'm merely comparing ME3 SP DLC to ME2 SP DLC.
By comparison and IMO, there's not been anywhere near the same ammount. Thus the conclusion that SP is no longer BW's focus.
Doesn't matter what "team" is producing. In the last 8 mos. there's been 1 DLC. From ashes doesn't count as it existed prior to the title release and Extended cut doesn't count as it's just fan service retcon work.
So, from release to now there's really only been Leviathan and two weapons packs. In the same time frame there were 4 missions, 2 appearance packs, and 3 weapon/equipment packs.
That's just about 5X the SP dlc when compared to ME3.
Don't know what logic you're using other than wishful thinking, but what signs there are point to BW paying far less attention to SP and orders of magnitude more attention to MP. Doesn't make any difference which 'team' is doing the work.
