Phantoms, Banshees and Praetorians abuse their bubbles too much

Praetorian.. well this bug is really bad@**. The bubble is almost always up when it's airborne, and [idk if it was lag-related or a visual glitch] few times i saw it land with the bubble on and firin' that laz0r.. At that moment my flamer did zero damage to it, and the guns seemed to be less useful than usual.

I spec my destroyer without the missile launcher, so can we be friends?Feneckus wrote...
I don't mind their bubbles. What bothers me is that 90% of the playerbase has no idea how to deal with them and will trigger the bubbles by doing something stupid. Cryo Blast on a phantom ? Wow, awesome, thanks a lot ...
What's also really irritating is stuff like Turrets/Drones/Hawk Missile launcher. I hate that so much I just refuse to play grenade/melee classes vs Cerberus when there's a geth engineer/destroyer. Really annoying.

I agree, especially for the Praetorian. The swordmaidens can be dealt with.

Even after reading all of this, I find no definitive answers anywhere. What exactly can harm a Banshee when her power block (shimmer shield) is on?
- Obviously we know REAVE and DC, but is that true of all hitscan powers (ie, overload, etc.)?
- I'd swear CHARGE has an effect even when she's blocking! Maybe it's just the force/stagger, or just the damage bonus effect (weapon, or a charge power enhanced pre block DOT)? Does CHARGE have some kinda melee component?
- Does melee even work when the banshee bubble is up?
- How does the bubble affect debufs, both applied BEFORE and during the bubble (ex. being in the mine scan range while bubbled, v.s. being hit with a proxy mine debuff a second before bubbling... what about a pre-bubble warp)?
This $%!@$* is nebulos, by now someone knows the real answers here. Thanks.

Banshee bubble of BS negates melee. At least in my experience.
All bubbles negate melee. Phantom an Praetorian too.

Protip: the banshee's bubble makes her more suspectible to gunfire aka pump her full of lead for extra damage when the bubble is up.
The phantom's bubble extends her hitbox to the entire bubble so you can shoot her bubble to damage her instead.
Praetorians' bubble grants power immunity and weapon DR so it's never a good idea to trigger the crab's bubble if you can help it.

Ha ha. That's true. Pugs seems to go out of their way making sure that the bubble is up more or less permanently

Just advise for him to keep in mind.. so that he can point fingers and come to BSN to make a thread about others being scrubs who keep triggering the bubble.

Praetorian bubble stinks because it is yet another mechanic against the collectors to negate power users. The thing that has me the most in an uproar these days is the lolgoons invulnerability when going into whip mode.
Dragoons do not get invulnerability at any point.
Although once they begin a charge, they're essentially impossible to stagger.

I'll have to watch my games closer then. I seem to do no damage at all on them when they go into whip charge mode.

They take damage just hard to stagger them once they start that windup for the smash.Beerfish wrote...

Cheaters bastards, aren't they? Maybe, Bioware will nerf them the next time. You were right calling BS on this!To the point were they are nearly perma-on. And only the Phantom has a drawback of inability to move or attack you when she put her barrier hand on.
The other two can move, shoot and do all the things they normally do. That's BS. Screws up power classes and in general 100% power damage negation is stupid. Why can't it be 50%? 75%? Why can't there be a cooldown between uses?
And Praetorians have a **** load of armor and barriers to begin with. And I'm not talking about possesed ones.
