Re: Reapertech: Even the citadel, in the EC, is not completely destroyed. It just looks like anything reaper implanted explodes. So Shepard is a pretty good human equivalent- his reaper implants stop working [if he had any], and anything else that was standard issue developed by cerberus keeps going.

What you saw is someone in N7 armor that you are assuming is Shepard, there was no prove there that what you actually saw was Shepard.

As best I can tell, his argument is "All tech was destroyed because PROVE TO ME IT WASN'T," thus the fact that ship drives et al still work is bad writing.

Most would look at the functional ships and conclude that not all tech was destroyed.

Shepard is alive. This is proven in several places. First and foremost the files in game say End03_Shepard_Alive_Fem
End03_Shepard_Alive_Male

Furthermore, all technology is not destroyed, this is proven by the EC slides that very clearly shows ships cpable of space flight.

Yes there are plot holes and inconsistencies, but it is Shpeard, and (s)he is alive. It woud make no sense for it to just be a random N7 soldier who also happens to be the same gender as your Shepard. It is designed to show that Shepard survived the Destroy ending.

I'm guessing the reason you cling to this not being the case is because you
A. You did not pick destroy and felt cheated that your Shepard died.
B. You are just negative and want to make people angry
C. You did not play the game and are just tryng to mae up stuff

troubled me, too. I think OP is right pointing out theat the odds of Shepard surviving the explosions AND the failure of his implants AND being spaced AGAIN AND reentering atmosphere without being burned to dust AND not hitting water AND arriving where he started off AND surviving hitting solid concrete AND avoiding the thingies I now know are called (thanks, OP. I am serious. Didn't know that, always a pleasure when BSN hits me with such new stuff to learn) rebars are nigh zero. Well, let's face it, they're zero.

Then again, the authors clearly gave nothing about logic when writing the ending in the first place, the name of the video file is something along Shepard lives, so I am willing to admit he lives, though it does not make sense. period.

again, for those who care, if you are femshep, the breath scene character has boobs. if you choose dudeshep there are no boobs. does this prove that it's shepard? no. does it strongly suggest that it's shepard? yes.

Obrusnine's logic: this doesn't prove that it's shepard, so that PROVES that it isn't shepard. derp.
