I've been messaged over PSN in German before. the-franken (my PSN ID) was supposed to be a play on 'The Kraken' and Frank, but after some handy dandy google translate, I think I was asked if I was from 'franken.' I always figured Franken sounded a bit German, hence the 'das' that I later used, but I never knew for sure up until that point.

I think it's one of the sunken islands in the baltic sea, so eastern Germany. They tell of wondrous banana trees and stuff.

Thanks!  I was starting to think it might be a small, unknown Bavarian town.  I should have checked Eastern Germany.  I didn't think it was there because I thought Eastern Germany was all pineapple fields.  That's why the Germans invaded Poland.  To protect their pineapple crop.
