The entire new series is actually just a bed time story being told to a child by his creepy grandpa... Oh wait, we already got that.
C'mon... you still think this is a story that one would tell his kid, especially in such detail? Until the story is done, its a few days later... and I wonder whether the kid will get that one joke about Azure. Or how it will react on those detailed eplanations of Kelly in Shepard's room.
This scene simply means that Shepard became a legend. There is even proof that granpa didn't invent it: It can be affected by your ending decision.

We have only two types of squaddies, group one called "team badass" and group two called "team boobs". It involves no dialogue wheel and much more pew pew.
Given that, make up every story you want.
I'll probably take "team boobs" for my first playthrough, after that we'll see.

It happened for ME3. I said I didn't want to see some ass pull like a deus ex machina, or some godlike entity who created the Reapers, who gets convinced to call them off.
I didn't want to see Cerberus become what they did.
I didn't want to see a lot of things happen. Almost all of them did happen.
I'm not going to list a damn thing.

A story of political intrigue and economics...
You play as a Volus in the business world of Mass Effect! Expand your financial empire through cut throat deals and embezzelment of funds as a white-collar criminal and claim your rightful place as the first Volus councilor.

1: Set more than 50,000 years in the future so as not conflict with any of the now 4 endings. The peoples of the Milky Way have figured out how to implement synthesis themselves. The races from ME1-3 are either wiped out by the reapers or have simply gone extinct of more natural causes. Either way, not a single being will be recognizable. Not even humans will make an appearance. Except for Conrad Verner, who inexplicably made it to Eden Prime and closed himself in an old cryo-tube.
2: It turns out everything was a dream. I'm not talking about the final sequence. We get a straight up St Elsewhere, and it turns out that Star-Jar was just some brat playing with action figures. Shep is just the kid's step-dad/mom, who he resents and thus fantasizes about killing off. In reality, humanity is just establishing a permanent base on Mars, where we discover a past civilization that was genetically similar to humans save for the addition of one extra chromosome.
3: We get a side-story, ala ODST. To avoid generating plotlines that would conflict with the established game, the dialogue wheel is removed, as are all aspects of character customization. The cheaper equipment of rank-and-file shoulders means a lack of targeting algorithms or a HUD. As a result, troops have to rely on antiquated iron sights. As the omni-blade hasn't been unveiled yet, a simple steel knife is the favored melee weapon. Would a character named Price be too on the nose?
4. Same as above, except we get a prequel. To relate the prequel to the main trilogy, we play as Anderson. Unfortunately, the writer hired for the project confuses some key details. Anderson now has a compulsion to urinate in every potted plant he finds. During their mission, he and Saren both develop a nasty cereal addiction, ultimately resulting in the latter's willingness to help the reapers just to get one more bowl.

You are lockdowned on earth, then Reapers are coming and attack your homeworld. You're picking up liara with crucible plans and start to gain resources to make this project live. When everything is finished, your superior gun is stolen by ugly monsters and they leav it right under your nose at your homeworld orbit, so you can easily take it. Everything goes wrong, everyone got hurt or got dead and you're taking elevator to your superior anti-ugly-guy-and-giant-mechanic-galactic-shrimps to turn it on. Then, you have to choose. There is a cookie, you can eat cookie and puke it, throw off the cookie or make the cookie be lost for everyone. Also, you can leave the room and cookie and say, you've done everything you could. In the end there is no option to get the cookie and eat it - galactic sparkling child don't want you to do this. And guess what? You're dead.
I'm reading my own post and i think i may saw this story somewhere...

I don't know, I think a game about the Rachni Wars or the Krogan Rebellions might actually be kind of cool.
Granted, your choices DEFINITELY wouldn't matter since it's all ancient history.

500 Years in the future, Leviathans resisted Synthesis and created synthetics that threaten all life. A new hero rises, use his green biotics to stop them and become a new Catalyst.
