Wow, this guy is obsessed and a bit tiresome... with all these nitpicky videos. Is the ending of a story really this important in his life? I mean wasting so much time on it for nothing but venting out his disappointment which turned into anger and frustration! I will never understand this level of obsession.

Now, this is rude pal... no matter how tiresome the dude is and his annoyingly nitpicky and arrogant videos, he's a human and he deserves a life and chances just as much as anybody else out there.

I'm disappointed in pro-enders, they want him dead.
I don't need to watch his video's because I already know how bad Mass effect 3 is and how nothing makes much sense.

But please try to be mature.

It's not so much obsession as involvement and immersion.

If someone is a painter, and his paint goes swirly as it's drying. He's going to be pissed and want it to be even. Someone else might not even notice or care and call him obsessive.

Please don´t generalise. I'm a "pro-ender" for example (more like a person who likes the ending and the story as they are), but I would never want the death of anybody who does not agree with me. Having an opinion about the one's behaviour or statements, opinions is another thing.

Not so nice when the boots on the other foot is it? For the lack of a better label, "anti-enders" have been generalised constantly, even when very good arguments are made and questions asked about the game.

To say I didn't like the ending to ME3 would be a hugely colossal understatement, the EC ending was okay (IMO), but still not what the ending of such a great trilogy deserved. However I feel it's time to move on and so should some other people.

Besides it won't be too long before ME4 builds up alot of hype only to let us all down. (I'm kidding about this)Image IPB

Yeah, I get what you say... but this is actually not his "baby" but one which was given to him, by someone else. I mean, in this case you can imagine what the guys at Bioware (Casey, Mac and the rest of the team who were involved) feel when they see people hating and raging about their love child so passionately and in a harsh way at times (some may go even so far as calling the developers names or wish them to die etc.). I'm not saying that an artist or producer should not take the critics and hits, but you can imagine how they might feel, especially that it was their blood, sweat, tears and precious time put into the piece of work some people hate them for.

As for the guy... well, I love ME as much as the next guy (yeah ok, I may be not that immeresed: I don't care about LIs in it for exapmle and I generally treat the whole story as a good work of fiction which I enjoy story-,gameplay- and characterwise), but I wouldn't be able to do this... I mean it is quite obvious that ME (a work of fiction, and lets say it: a video game) plays a central role in his life. I don't think that it's very healthy. I mean your life should not revolve around it. But it's just me... I have different experiences in life and different problems

Yeah, it's part of the job: not letting yourself having too much sympathy for others. It would destroy your personal life and feelings pretty quickly and would certainly lead to burnout syndrome, especially if you have your own problems and scars. Though it does not mean that I am unable to feel for people and thier problems and pain. It's only that I try to distance myself from it and try to keep it rational as much as possible. It's a defence mechanism. And I'm a guy... guys don't have that much sympathy... :P

I don't know what you're talking about. I write here very seldomly. I just say that not everybody who likes the endings want other people dead for the difference in opinions. It's immature and pretty ignorant behaviour. So please don't pull me into some X vs. Y argument. I accidentally fell into it once, but I'm not here to argue about the endings. I'm here to discuss the game, news about dlc. and to practice English. Nothing good comes from arguing over something which is so much up to subjective opinions and personal tastes and preferences.

Who is "they"? I mean what is a "pro-ender"? And who is the other "they", the "anti-enders"? I consider myself a fan of the game and its story, and I happen to like the ending very much as it is (with the EC). So I'm kind of a "pro-ender", but I try to keep myself distant from all this forum war now... so it's just a matter of interpretation. :)

But don't worry I'm just playing with words. :) I get what you say. I only said that it's not nice to stigmatise any group of people with such a severe accusation (wanting other people dead).

I'm talking about this whole "pro-ender" vs. "anti-ender" thing which has been going on here on the BSN for like 7 months. I don't know if I can call it a debate at all. Debates usually do not include name calling, nor they run in circles endlessly without making any sense. I just can't see where it all goes. The ending won't change. We all know that by now. It's also clear that no one can change the others' mind about it. Everybody knows the others' points and opinions already. Nothing new sees the day of light when it comes to this topic. It's only the "same old, same old..." argument that goes on in each thread, usually with the same people partaking in it. I don't see a debate here.

I did not reflect on the guy's opinion in this thread. I perfectly know that he hates the ending and he has his points. I disagree with them and respectfully refuse his accusations about me being an idiot (just because I like what he clearly hates). I only reflected on his obsession. I'm still curious why people get soooo over the top about a game, a story and its ending. Like it was their life...

I would have loved to see some rational discourse on the topic. Surely there are some smart people who can defend the ending.

Not questioning your right, man. I'm just saying that it was rude. Questioning anothe person's existence is not a very nice thing and it sounds pretty immature.  I saw a few deaths myself where I work and I happened to experience it very closely in my life. It's some very painful business. Just saying, not questioning anything.

Eh, I guess I can see that. I'm a Police Officer and I've been forced to kill someone myself once. It haunted me for a long time.

In the grand scheme of things, debates rarely change the other's opinion regardless of fact or logic. They are their own form of analysis and to some, a source of entertainment, for others a means of venting frustration.

By now, yes, people are entrenched in their own beliefs regarding the endings and these debates are ultimately pointless. Nonetheless, I still partake it them for fun every now and again.
