Okay so I can only post in the ME1 forum since I dont own The ME games. Anyway I am extremely new to Shooters, the only one I've played is Borderlands. While I know that BL is FPS with RPG elements I really am enjoying it. Now I am not new to Bioware games owning DA:O, DA:OA, DAII, NWN Platinum, and have played Baldurs Gate II. My question is based on this summary of games that I have really enjoyed (Listed Above) Does anyone think that I may enjoy the ME Trilogy when it get released?
I'm only asking cause I've never played ME, but I love Bioware and all of the games I've played by them. And a good first experience with Borderlands left me kind of wanting to branch out further. I know ME is 3rd person which I'm completely fine with and the idea of squadmates interests me (I loved the Party in DA:O and DA:II

I think you may. As for the RPG part: the universe is colorful, rich and addictive, the storyline is good, only the quests are rather schematic (especially side-quests in ME1!), but that's true for most of the RPG games I've played (Planescape: Torment would make a good exception). As for the shooter part, ME1 is a bit coarse, but from ME2 on it's pretty much as any other (i.e. take cover, point, shoot, reload + special powers), so I wouldn't bother.

well i was never a fan of shooting games at all, but then i picked up mass effect 1 about 2 months ago, for myself it took a couple of attempts to get into it but once i decided to give it a full playthrough then decide what i thought, well 2 months later i have about 13 characters on me1 10 on me2 an halfway through 2nd character on me3 so prob tells you what i think.
I think the series has alot of problems if im honest and alot of things that for myself just dont make sense but over all its one of the best story telling an emotional journeys ive had with a game series
