Anybody else remember the narrow ledge in Anor Londo? Anybody? ;)

Poison arrows. Every playthrough. I still haven't forgotten the first time I dealt with those things. I still have nightmares.

Sure is fun to invade somebody when they are trying to do that part though. Yeah, I was a douche sometimes.

Hey, could always go Blades of the Dark Moon if you want to be responsible for hunting them all down.

I dare say the multiplayer aspect of Dark Souls is one of the best things the game has to offer. When the single player content just doesn't pack the punch it used to, it's a great way of making the player still play with both hands at the controller, ready for the possible threat ahead.

I certainly enjoyed it, and am glad it's in the game, be it on the receiving side of the sword or not.
The game would not have been so great to me if it didn't have mp.
It's also opional, so if you don't like it, well...yeah....

Agreed. What I love most about Dark Souls MP isn't  just the co-op or the pvp. It's the subtle aspects, watching phantoms occasionally hover in and out of your world, blood-stains revealing the fate of would-be adventurers, and (my favorite) hearing the Bell of Awakening ring for other players. Such small things adding a really fun layer to the experience. And of course, the Sun Bros are awesome.

My joke about pvp aside, I've also found that there are alot more honorable players than in other games. Most everyone I've encountered bows, follows dueling etiquette, etc. Even when they completely steamroll me, they give a final courtesy bow.

Yeah, having multiplayer add atmosphere on an already atmospheric single player experience is quite an achievement.
It's also rewarding on a roleplaying perspective, with the covenants and whatnot.

The multiplayer is pretty innovative (Demon's Souls as well), but I dislike that I cannot easily co-op with a friend. It's just random people.

It took my brother and I about ten minutes to find each other in the Undead Parish. It's easy if you plan out where you put your summon sign. Or maybe I was just lucky. The lack of party chat is nasty, though. Trying to read messages sent over xbox live isn't exactly a good idea when you're playing a game you can't pause.

Solaire makes four of the boss fights a lot easier. Do befriend him OP and engage in jolly co-operation.

I would have gladly shoved Solaire off a cliff if it would have let me summon Siegmeyer for something.

Dark Souls...I need to create a new character. My gaming plate is jammed packed right now, though. My first go round I was a Pyromancer. Stayed true to an axe as well. I loved the steel axe, upgraded to raw +10 then made it fire +5. Had Pyromancy Flame +10 along with Chaos Fireball and uber destructive chaos whip...man did the whip come in handy against the Four Kings. And against Gwyn. Mixing gold-trimmed robes with Havels Helm and Havels Gauntlets, too. Good defense stats with still solid encumberance numbers for maneuverability.

I've been eyeballing the new expansion, but I haven't even finished my fifth playthrough. I've been trying to stay at SL 5 and beat the whole game. Anor Londo took me about a week to finish because the giants took so many hits to die, and don't get me started with Fat Boy and Slim. I'm getting kind of bored of the game, though, so I might not even get the expansion.

Siegmeyer is a lazy b****** so if it were ever possible to summon him he would simply do nothing. It takes him the entire game to actually do something over in Lost Izalith and only because he believes that he owes you. Not that I hate him mind you as he's one of the few sane people in the game who retains sanity all the way to the end and rewards you on a few occansions.

I'm finishing up on another playthrough of Dragon's Dogma and then I'll be starting the expansion. I've got the Prepare to Die edition just waiting to be played and since I lost all my saved data I'm going to have start all over concerning the creation of new characters.

Completely true, and in my experience that's what all summoned help does. Except Iron Tarkus. He's too much help.

I'm really unlucky with the summons. I didn't use them all, but Solaire was consistently a huge load that did nothing but die. I'm quite sure Siegmeyer could fill that role. He's certainly jolly, and he seems cooperative.:P

I've seen various comments from people stating that Solaire dies often but he's a great help with the Gargoyles (he should even be able to defeat one without any help), he manages to distract either Smough or Ornstein away from you and he does some good damage against the demon centipede. The only boss I've found him to be ineffective against is the Gaping Dragon, I once summoned both Lautrec and Solaire for this fight and Lautrec actually lasted all the way through.

In fact I was thankful for his help today as he did indeed kill one of the Gargoyles during my new playthrough as a Wanderer. He also kept the other one busy while I used to ranged attacks against it. Just rung the second bell and have only leveled up attunement by one so now I'm LV 4 and about to head into Sen's Fortress. I just hope I don't lose all my souls before then as I plan to level up fully in Anor Londo...

One of the things I hope they modify for the next game is enemy AI. Many enemies in this game can be taken advantage of due to the fact that you can exploit their dumb AI. I killed two drakes and the undead dragon because they aren't scripted to chase if you strike from a certain distance and the undead dragon doesn't even do anything if you throw firebombs at him while standing on the cliffside ahead of him.

Dynamic enemies that roam the world and chase you until they lose sight of you would awesome and would increase the difficulty. It's my understanding that they originally planned to this with the Black Knights but decided against this while IMO was a mistake. Still I guess the multiplayer element means that one connected will be encountering foes who will do whatever is necessary to win and dynamic enemies would make fights against invaders unfair unless they attacked invaders too..

So I entered the second mission (region or whatever) and talked with a man in armor. I hit him by mistake, then he killed me many times *respawns* ... finally I went near a tower and made him fall into the valley *gets exp. points* lulz

I still remember how tense and amazing crawling through the Depths was the first time I got down there. Tense and on edge, i was. Amazing atmosphere. And then the disgusting puss-sack vomit that was Blighttown. I truly hated that place. And I liked it because of that...I was supposed to.
