Will there be a Dragon Age 2? I've never heard of Dragon Age until I saw the game release so I recently checked it up and found out a few things. Turns out that Ferelden is just a part of a very large world, Thedas. There are curretnyl 2 books out correct? And there are places such as Orlais, Free Marches etc. I would really like to know if there could be any chance that BioWare would be releasing (and hopefully already making) a new Dragon Age game. Also, if there is going to be a new Dragon Age game, would we be able to transfer our character from Origins to the DA2? I mean, Dragon Age:Origins is really about the beginning of your journey. So logically speaking, if there was to be a DA2, we should be able to transfer our character from Origins to number 2 so that we could continue our journey. Of course, this idea is based on the option that there will be a DA2. I thank all that reply to this in advance.
p.s. I have been playing this game for quite a while now and I'm up to the Landsmeet. Its been about 20 hours and I'm still not sick of the game. Absolutely love it and wish there would a DA2. Maybe the second one could be set in a new age, I understand that every 100 years is considered an 'age", Origins being obviously set in the Dragon Age.

They've definitely hinted at the idea that DA will be an ongoing intellectual property that will spawn sequels, but you'll not get any official word on that. They'll announce sequels when they are ready to start talking about them (and definitely not within a few months of the release of the original). Look for DLC and/or expansions to DA:O for the next while (they've said at least 2 years worth).

Considering the massive success of this game, I think it is almost guaranteed there will be a sequel, although it may be a while due to all the DLCs.

Besides, it's not like Bioware doesn't do sequels, look at ME2.

Mass Effect isn't the best example. I'm fairly certain it was planned as a trilogy from the start.

I am not sure about the whole "with the same character". But I am already dying to get my hands on more dragon age origins :P so I do hope that there will be a trilogy
