Oh yes, I'm sure that everyone played that one game that you started and couldn't stop.

Fallout 1. When I was 14 the savegames where bugged at night after I played 10h, so I could not save and had to play the whole 'The glow' part in one playthrough. Heard my parents get up and making breakfast. At 8am somebody opened my door, I still hate her for putting out the computer.

9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. I lost so much sleep. Its sequel too, but instead of stopping at 5:00 AM like with 999, I'd stop at 3:00 AM. Still sucks you in, but I liked the characters and story of 999 better.
No other games took priority over sleep for me.
Oh wait, no. Gladius did. Maybe now that Disney owns LucasArts, they'll realize the goldmine they're sitting on and finally release a sequel. I'm sure Gladius II is on the top of their list of things to do.

Modern Warfare 1's MP. Little did I know that they'd release the same game over, and over, and over again...
Oh, and any Bethesda game.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 with around 9 years of gameplay.
Honorable mention goes to Skyrim with over a thousand + hours of gameplay, and multiple characters.

Still have that feeling:
Civilization series.
FIFA series after 07.
Jedi Knight II (SP & MP)
The Simpsons Hit & Run!
Used to:
- SimCity 2000
- Age of Empires 2
- Age of Mythology
- Empire Earth 1
- Heroes of M&M IV
- Cossacks
- SW: Galactic Battlegrounds
- Micro Machines v3 and v4
Sorry RPGs aren't addictive, eventhough I've played some of them at least 6 times.

The only three games that made me lose a night or two of sleep were Dark Age of Camelot, Mass Effect 1 and Planescape Torment.
DAoC because of the ToA raids while we were playing on an american server (at least 6 hours behind us ç_ç); Planescape Torment and Mass Effect because I HAD to see how they ended.

Guitar Hero for me, mostly because I just want to get better & better and yes well, it takes time. (Offcourse one of the reasons is also that there are so many of them, including Rock Band & Band Hero)

That's what my older brother calls it after he went cold turkey. Personally I could never get into MMOs (thank Jeebus for that).
