GTA: Vice City or Star Wars: KotOR II might be the most addictive games I've played.

I think I'm just one of the types that gets too easily addicted - I get addicted to almost any game I play, although some more than others.

Back in highschool I got addicted to pokemon crystal on my phone. My phone was pretty crap and lagged like crazy whenever they did any fight animations. I still managed to finish the game and collected almost all the pokemon besides a few of the legendaries (I think I managed to get suicine and lugia though). Ended up doing an all-nighter playing it the night before an exam before I realised I probably should stop.

Last year or so I got really addicted to Terraria. It's like a 2-D minecraft I think, but with a greater focus on exploring. It pretty much destroyed my whole study-break and most of my exam period.

The most recent study-break killer would probably be FTL: Faster than Light. It gives a great feeling of running your own spaceship and the rogue-like formula makes the exploration always interesting. The only good thing (or bad, depending on how you look at it) is that the game is relatively short, so I managed to finish it and get over it a little faster.

Other than those games, i've spent hundreds of hours on DA:O, DA2, mass effect 3 multiplayer, oblivion, skyrim, and the (newer) fallout games - although they didn't disrupt my priorities quite as much.

Ok from RPGs:

KOTOR II
NWN series
Fallout New Vegas (3 playthroughs = near 200 hours)
Might & Magic IX (Yes Dat crap! I wish there was a newer M&M RPG)

But I hardly consider them addictive. All you want is to finish them (you somehow have a life!), though you enjoy the game during playing.

Also honorable mention:
SW: Battlefront
Victoria
Worms (WP or Reloaded)

The last Pokemon game I played was years ago. My brother's Pokemon: Colosseum on Game Cube.
I loved it actually, spent hours training all of them, and trading with my brother's ruby and saphire versions so we can see them in 3d.

But after that, I haven't played any pokemon no.

The new ones are really great, even if they're more of the same old formula.

The last non-main series Pokemon game I ever played in the series was probably Stadium 2. I wanted to get Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii, but I kept forgetting to get it.

But I remember spending a lot of time playing Pokemon Puzzle League. God, that game was really fun.

Morrowind. I thought I knew every nook and cranny after 3 months of playing each day for several hours (then I had to tone it down,lol)... and then you stumble on another ruins, cave or some other unbelivable sh!t that makes you "lets just check whats around that corner..."
Dawn of War deserves a special mention.

As for multi I will go with ME3, for some reason it makes me forget the bad aftertaste from SP campaign, makes the hurt more berable... plus I got to know some fun people... yeah, silly me.
Ghost Recon Online takes second place.

Probably the original Sims. It was so fun to play around with all the nifty mods and build your dream home. I remember playing the hell out of the gamecube version well into the night with my friend in middle school. Good times. ^_^

Lineage 2. Though I was failing miserably, there were always friends there I wanted to keep up with.

Dark Souls.

This, too. Once you're sucked in, kiss 100+ hours goodbye :P

What's really freaky is the subsequent playthroughs, where stuff which originally took you 10-15 hours to complete, can now be handled in about two. I'm now able to clear the Bell Gargoyles + Capra demon in one sitting. Damn, I want more Dark Souls dlc. Artorias of the Abyss just brought back the hunger.

Worms especally Armageddon
Baldurs Gate
Counter Strike 1.6
Age of Empires 2
Heroes of Might&Magic 2&3 (these are the worst, one.more.turn aaaannnnd its tomorrow already :))
DOTA.
And of course World of Warcraft. I could have counqered the world with the time and resources i spent on this plague. I must admit tough most of my best RP moments happened in WoWs RPG servers.

Edit: Also Civilazation and Tie Fighter vs X Wing.

Star Wars Galaxies

In certain ways/aspects it was/is (if you look at the early years) still way superior to any other modern MMO.

Well in recent memory, Binding of Isaac.

Of all time... I dunno. I guess I played a lot of Pokemon too. The Zelda series. Team Fortress classic and Counter Strike. Age of Empires II. Mario RPG, Final Fantasy etc.

Oh yes and Angry Birds, hahaha yes I am the cancer that is killing gaming.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

My first Xbox 360 game and I was glued to the TV. I had to delete my save due to hoarding so much crap that it took up too much memory and loading was too long.

I loved my Argonian.

The original Sims. Making magic and Super star were the best add-ons. Holiday was good too, gotta collect all the holiday gifts! Spent my entire time collecting tickets and in Making magic, trying to figure where to get a rubber chicken.

If you get a VITA you must get Persona 4 Golden

Its on my xmas list specifically for Persona 4 Golden. And AC:Liberation. The latter of which you can actually get with the Vita, which makes it handy.

When I first started playing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I was only 9.. I lost so much sleep because of that game.. And I was using one of those really old TV's, so because of my constant playing, a little + got burned into the center of the screen.

I must admit FTL is far more addictive than it has any right to be.
