DA has references to other genres and various pieces of humor, but they are veiled just enough to keep the game solid and not entirely break the fantasy experience.

Post which ones you thought the most fun!

I'll go first:

My favourite three are:

-"Aren't you a little short for a guardsman?"    (Star Wars pun, dialog option in Landsmeet quests)

-"Hey sexy, do you want to take a look at me ******?"  (Baldur's Gate courtesan voice.  I LOL'd.  Denerim's Black Pearl)

-"Go for the eyes."  (Loadscreen advice; Baldur's Gate Minsc reference).

I'm also not sure about the waves of Drakes I had to face worshipped by a dragon cult with a black scaled female at the end, but it seemed a disturbing reminder of "Onyxia" :)

Haven Tombstone: "In memory of the Lohs, forever frozen in never-ending winter nights." - NWN

In The Gauntlet, one of the riddles asks what a lark could carry but a man not. One of the possible Answers is "A coconut", a Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference.

If asked about Shale's name during your first encounter, she jokes about being named after certain stones like 'Flint', 'Pebbles', or 'Rubble'. - The Flintstones

If you're using the "experienced" or "wise" voice, your PC will say "Warden sense tingling" when enemies are sighted - Spider Man reference.

I LMAO the first time I got the "warden sense is tingling" and "aren't you a little short for a guard". Had to pause the game I laughed so hard. And then when I read a post here about people not understanding the meteorite cutscene I laughed even harder. Homage to superman of course. Nice job to whoever cut those into the game. Very funny. I know there has to be more but haven't found them yet. Gotta be Batman somewhere...

In Wades Emporium the sales counter guy...

Think of "A Knights Tale" and the Red headed Irish man. Voice is off though, sadly.

Gold/silver ruined platoons^ I believe that counts as an easter egg.

Lord foreshadow.

Bioware missed a trick not including "Biff The Understudy" tho, instead of Oghren in deep roads we get "nothing" but dialogues if he isnt in-party... is biff under some copyright? :( still couldnt someone else be invented?

Human noble origin shares alot similarities with the NWN1 tutorial.

That magic shop in Denerim has almost exactly the same look as did a magic shop in BG2.

Watt?

;)

Actually no seriously I don't get the reference between Herren and anything in 'A Knights Tale'

The only thing about Herren is that he is voiced by Liquid Snake... I mean blood elf male... I mean Cam Clarke whereas of course Watt is played by Alan Tudyk.

I haven't done it, but I seen someone mention that "Biff The Understudy" appears in the Gauntlet in the Temple of Ashes if you don't have a full party quota

DA Wiki site has a page dedicated to Easter Eggs

Ulrich you need to look closely at him, then listen to the context of his words. Especially when he is pissed at you and such, he has the same pause and go type of that redhead in the movie.

Come on you have got to see the resemblence!

IF they were going to do that, I am sure they would have got Alan Tudyk to do the voice. Yes the nasally voice is similar, but to me he sounds more like the blood elf male from WoW (because it is voiced by the person whom did the Belf male voice)

Now if Herren was to suddenly say "If you don't get out of my shop I am going to thong you, I am going to make your intrails your extrails... PAIN... LOTS OF PAIN!" then I would agree with you :P

The Zombie Cat Army of Doom that you get after entering Denerim's market 42 times. Hitchiker's guide to the Galaxy reference.

Human Noble oroigin where Ser Gillmore talks about the rat infestation and bad adventure stories. Ice Wind Dale comes to mind there.

Oh yes, I forgot about "Edwina"! LOL! I actually laugh everytimeI go into the gnawed noble tavern and see her. Total BG2 flashbacks. Though Bioware, for extra laughs, could have made her bald and tattooed.
