I'm sorry not trying to be a jerk or what have you, but honestly it looks like from the picture, you pretty much carried that team. this is based off of the fact the bottom person has 1 medal and 40ish K points and the fact it took 30+ minuted to complete. any gun could look this good.

I think that statement makes no sense personally. If you can carry a team with a weapon doens't that mean its good? I mean try carring with an avenger or predator? most loikely you'll fail.

anyway i dind't carry anyone. the 2nd place guy is a very very very good player. the 3rd place is an average player and last place was drunk lol

That gun is bad, it's useless on armors. Needs a buff

it gets a 1.5 damage modifyer to armor. not to mention the SMG AP mod gives you 90% ignoring the armor so it only loses 10% damage against armor but does 50% more damage to armor.

2 clips i was taking down scions with it in another game. no gun that weighs that little will take down a scion in 2 clips

Once again with every consumable availiable, pretty much any gun will take down a Scion in 2 clips. Don't even consider saying you had anything short of full consumables or else we'll know you are lying since the math just doesn't add up or that you were playing on bronze.

the pic shows i wasn't playing bronze lol
also i said i used an SMG rail amp 3 (30% damage) but didn't use a SMG gear and used cryo rounds 4 (which doens't add damage but debuffs armor)

So it's better than the Hurricane??? That's hard to believe!

I never said that. I think in some situations yes it is better then a hurricane, but in a full weapon based layout i'd take the hurricane. the GI hurricane is one of the best builds in the game IMO. but it is easier to level up (i have a hurricane 4 but a CSMG X) weighs less, and doens't run out of ammo

The tempest has more dps, more ammo and is an uncommon.

ok seriously, ima slap the next person who claims a weapon isn't good becasue the tempest has more dps.

There's a lot more to weapons than just dps!

Yes, there's also ammo capacity. Ohh yes, and category. Uncommon and Ultra Rare. I've spent about 30 million credits since Retaliation Came out, and I have it at II, only because the Loyality Pack  gave me one too. I'm pretty sure the Tempest is a "cheaper" gun too.
I'm not saying CSMG is awful, but you have to worship the RNG gods to get it up to a decent level and always watch the ammo count, because if it overheats it's quite unpleasent to say the least. Gues itt also means it's better if you fire it in bursts, not like regular SMG's.

ps: And yeah, I did my SMG challange with it, and **** that took painfully long...
Guess not everything is for everybody.

It is a decent gun, which I said fairly soon after the release.

Bad time.

The gun is bad. It needs a buff.

edit: Saw you used an infiltrator. I know you said no powers but did you use cloak? Vause Ladynemesis used cloak and sabotage in her all sabotage run. I just wanted to make sure.

32 mins is a bad time yes, but one friend was drunk and the rest of us were half asleep lol. the game was at like 2AM my time after playing AC# for like 6 hours. anyway yes i used cloack but its what an 80% damage boost for 1.5-2 seconds? not a major difference. most of the time i was using cloack to revive people and get into a safe spot and waiting for the ammo to regen

More than enough. 2.5 sec is a lot. It makes any gun look good...

This.

I watched someone score 100k with a Phaeston and a Disciple wielding GI yesterday, and he didn't get that score because the rest of the team sucked, or because the Phaeston and Disciple are good weapons.

;)

If I end up on Rio, Giant, Jade, Ghost, Dagger, or Conder the CSMG is my friend. If I end up in Glacier, there's every reason to take the Hurricane.

The GI does got insane damage boosts. were all aware of that. but the CSMG works on every class. the pheaston and disciple doesn't

What's the point of posting your screen shot?

32 mins on gold
Infiltrator
Are those PUG also?

It's not a bad gun at a high level, but it's nowhere near awesome.

the good thing about the CSMG is it refreshes ammo as soon as you stop firing. you can shoot it in between powers and not run out ammo on a FQE. i suppose it would work on different characters with similar cooldowns.

It works as an acceptable sidearm for every class, especially now that ULM works. I would use a high level CSMG or ULM Hurricane with any class that is only carrying one weapon simply because I can, ULM makes the weapons essentially free to equip.

The CSMG is not good enough to justify equipping it as a primary weapon over something like a Wraith, Piranha, Indra or Talon.

Thats what happens when you merely post a screen cap and "let the score do the talking".

I really don't see what makes it any better or more specialized than existing SMGs to justify it being Ultra-Rare.

Not at 1. It has potential, but the absolute necessity for both ammo mods is a pain in the rucker.

Maybe at around 5 I'll start taking it out.

Much better accuracy, much less recoil, unlimited ammo, innate armor damage multiplier.

It's really not terrible if you're using the magazine upgrade, but I don't think a weapon should require a specific mod to be useful.

A long range SMG with negligible recoil and excellent accuracy and on top of that it has good RPM and 1.5x against armor? Wait for upgrades and it becomes a good gun for casters, since it's on the same weight range as the Tempest.

You gotta pray to the RNG gods.

And yet the weapon paradigm is such that nearly every weapon requires at least one "must have" mod. :)

Yeah, I have had good success with the CSMG X, ammo mod + HVB + incendiary ammo on the QFE.

At X, with the magazine upgrade it has 72 "rounds"

Btw, the smg heat sink does not do anything -- this is directed at the guy that tried both ammo mods on it.   Its like the particle rifle - barrage or thermal clip gear don't help either.

I disagree, the only exception being the AP mod for rapid fire weapons.

The only gun I think it's like that is the Striker with the Stability mod, and rapid fire weapons with AP.

It's an UR, that makes it terrible. Otherwise it would be just meh.

Many of the SR's have mediocre damage without at least Extended Barrel.  This is even true under Cloak bonus.

Shotguns are largely poor without Smart Choke, especially on any class that doesn't have magic accuracy bonuses.

And you can't discount piercing or high velocity barrel even if they were the only ones because that encompasses many weapons across two classes. :)
