What i dont get is why Abstergo cant afford a single gun...

They were using battons because they can't afford to hurt Subject 17. And if you played the first game, you'll hear when gunfire during one of the breaks from the Animus through comlinks or however you call it.

Have you played till the end?

Yes and again, Desmond was still there and they were trying to retrieve him.

You sure they were trying to retrieve him? thats not how i interpreted the situation, also what about your little friends? they werent needed alive.

Also, are we supposed to believe that a corporation that has the freaking animus doesnt have Tasers? Or a tranquilizer gun? They rely on the most primitive method of incapacitating someone (wack in head). This seems extra special stupid since they know you just buggered off to get ninja training.

Tasers and tranqs both have a chance (albeit small) of killing the target. The Templars NEED Desmond. I wouldn't want to be the guy who kills him. Also, they clearly wanted to give Desmond a chance to try out his new uber-1337-ninja skills. The Templars are nice like that.

Yeah, now THAT was what puzzled me. I know that they were trying to recapture Desmond and Lucy but I was thinking more along the lines of stun guns instead of battons. I guess even the brilliant scientist Warren still couldn't figure out that 15 guys in close combat against an assassin isn't enough.

As a matter of fact, you would think that from all the times Abstergo aka Templers dealt with the Assassins, they would figure out that fighting these guys in close range is suicide. I mean, didn't Lucy say that the Assassins are losing the war against Abstergo? Well, how is it that Abstergo is taking out the Assassins fairly easily? Battons? Give me break.

YES! I mean, dont tell me they dont have any sort of knock out gas. They have technology and resources we cant dream of but what do they resort to? Sticks.

If the Animus turns out to be an other thing that they got from "The Ones That Came Before" then I've totally lost my respect for Abstergo. They should just stick to selling anti-depressants if that's the case.

I wonder if I can somehow mod it so I can cut out all the Abstergo crud. I played further and it's getting more fun. Especially when I realised I wasn't stuck in the same place all game. Desmond and gf are irritating me though. They don't shut up.

They get a bit more interesting in the second game. On the first game, you kind of don't care about them until near the end.

Wait, actually, are you on the first game or second game?

Assassin's Creed II is a VERY good game. Sorry, I'm as big an rpg fan as anyone here but either most of you are either trying to be "cool" elitist or slamming it based on what other people think of it (hype).

It might not be an rpg but it's still very good...the story is miles ahead of the first. I wouldn't expect it to have as good a story as an rpg..but rpg's rely heavily on story, whereas action games do not.

Apparently, we are:

This just in: Ubisoft has already announced an other Assassin's Creed game that is not a spin-off and has multi-player in it.  Link is here.

Go ahead and like it, I am saying that technically it is not the best game ever.

The only thing I have left is the feathers. Got like 20 left. That's gonna be my weekend project.

Assassin's Creed 2 Platinum, here I come!

I'm not sure if those feathers are worth it. For all we know, the next Assassin's Creed might have Ezio's mother be well again. May not even matter....

I was actually really impressed with AC2. AC was somewhat disappointing to me, mostly for the ending, but AC2 was definitely a big improvement for the franchise and I eagerly await AC3. I want to know what happens to Desmond and the assassins, whereas in the first game all I cared about was Altair and thought the whole Desmond thing was stupid. They turned it around.

I still don't see how they'll incorporate multi-player in the 3rd Assassin's Creed though.

Yeah, but I think that would mean a bunch of Ezios moving around at once.

Maybe it'll be like the later iterations of Dynasty Warriors, where you customize your own hero, or in this case assassin. I totally want to be a female assassin.
