I play Bronze and Silver (occasionally) because I don't play Gold and certainly not Platinium well. In short, I will never master the higher difficulties. I have no doubt that there are many, many more ME3 players like me.
Maybe I can find some friends or good-natured PUG players willing to take me along on a Gold run, use up all of my consumables trying to survive, and make someone at Bioware happy in the process.
Maybe I'll just keep playing Bronze and the occasional Silver because that makes me happy.

Why not buy JEP's then?? They give u assured 5 medigels/rockets/ops-pack/thermalclip packs & more if you are lucky. They can also give you 3-4 lvl 3 consumables that u can use. Also they cost only 33k...not much imo.

I don't think the reason for going to lower difficulties is only a question of multipliers but the fact that, e.g. cerberus challenge, the amount of guardians per game is so low that getting guardian points is just a pain. Qurious to see what you guys cook up, though.Eric Fagnan wrote...
This week's balance changes will be delayed. We will try to get them out tomorrow.
Here is a preview of some of the changes we are looking at:
- Increasing the XP/Score multipliers for Gold and Platinum difficulties. We are seeing a tendency for players to play at lower difficulties in order to complete challenges, so hopefully this will entice players to keep mastering the higher difficulties.
- Reducing the shield gate cooldown.

XP boost does nothing for me.
I only play Gold when I need quick credits and right now I keep at least 600k on hand at all times just incase new items or characters released.

Noone is going to die if they're forced to wait another day for balance changes. It's more annoying to have that 'maaaaaaaaybe Tuesday waitnope' every week than to just have it shifted back. If you're a day behind with a week's work ahead of you, you're going to remain a day behind pretty indefinitely. It's cool, we appreciate the effort put into balance changes and new classes and all the awesome new toys you've been giving us and we're not going to lose it if we have to wait another day.

Why not blow that completelly out of the water and make it so that the shield actually gates the damage itself... so when the shield goes down, the player becomes immune to damage for the short time, after which if the shield comes back online even for the tinyest amount of time, the player becomes immune without any timer delay ?Eric Fagnan wrote...

This would also make the Banshee unable to actually insta-kill the shielded players, like they do in the current game which makes the player see the "magnet hand", as the banshee, phantom etc are actually required to make a preparation hit in the close quaters before the insta-kill attack, after which if the player still hangs around they get to make the insta-kill if they player is still in range... but unfortunatly, the preparation hit doesn't always even contact the player that is in close enough to get their shield removed.
Yep, there's a script error in the insta-kill script, it doesn't check if the player it's going to target is the one the preparation hit was made to, it just checks if the banshee actually made the preparation hit !

XP = meh.
Credits, or consumables not used on successful extraction = worth it.
But yes i'm guitly of moving down to silver, and even bronze: trying to use say the GPSMG on Gold is frustration, bronze-ing it, and it's actually good!
So Bioware, the only thing to blame is the implmentation of the challenges. Fix those maybe?

heatsink + high caliber barrel + smg amp III and AP IV and you do good on gold. I'm currently doing the smg challenges, and I've noticed the the high velocity barrel is just not good on it. Sure you have to use consumables, but it's worth it. I've scored 120k in 3 games. The state of silver PUGs is worrisome at the moment. Nobody uses medigel, nobody caps objectives etc.Stinja wrote...
