XP = meh.
Credits, or consumables not used on successful extraction = worth it.

But yes i'm guitly of moving down to silver, and even bronze:  trying to use say the GPSMG on Gold is frustration, bronze-ing it, and it's actually good!
So Bioware, the only thing to blame is the implmentation of the challenges.  Fix those maybe?

But this is an attempted fix for making the challenges easier to complete on higher difficulties. Gold/Platinum players do not need even more credits compared to Silver/Bronze. Then it would be even more players with maxed out manifests and playing with a maxed out manifest is fun for maybe 10-15 games.

Other changes to the challenges might require a patch.

Okay, so I understand that things like holidays and special events come up, and those are good excuses, but could you at least notify us that they'll be delayed at some point before the day they're supposed to be up?

I mean, holidays don't just suddenly happen. Special events are planned ahead of time (presumably). Would it kill you to announce the delay a couple days before, rather than the day that they're supposed to be?

Also, it would be nice if maybe you gave some sort of reason in these posts. Maybe there would be fewer people complaining if they knew why the changes were delayed, and knew beforehand that they were going to be delayed.

Well, your ability to get 120k doesn't reallty tell us that you were the first one to go and get to the objectives and do then under 4 minutes, REMAINING.

Not to abandon Silver but more experienced players (like myself) have gone down from Gold to get the challenges done so they make it more viable to tough it out on Gold and get the challenges done faster.

Seriously tho the Gold PUG's have dramatically gone down I'm really glad they did this +1

Well, what did you expect? Try finding enough husks on Gold. I am done with all the Reaper challenges for weeks now, except for the Husk Points 3. The same with Cerberus. Try to find a Guardian on Gold these days, since the Dragoons took over. I used to spec my characters against Cerberus to be primarily able to deal with Guardians and Phantoms, since the rest wouldn't be a problem. And Guardians were actually the main reason I was prefering something with Armor Penetration (either a gun mod or the AP ammo) when playing against Cerberus. Now your main problem are the Dragoons. A single one isn't really an issue, but since they tend to come in hordes and bring their insta-killing sneaky phantom friends with them, you have to kill them fast.

So of course I am reverting to Silver difficultiy just to get enough Husks and Melee-ing opportunities.

Thanks for noticing and thanks for changing the system accordingly.

When can we expect the damage fix for the Collectors, especially for Gold and Platinum?

And reducing the cooldown for shieldgate will definitely help to reduce the amount of cursing by my squadmates and myself. ;)

Well crap, if it keeps being "delayed", can we get a fix for "Turian Soldier Wave Completion" challenger? I am getting of being told EVERY wave by the game that I've completed a wave for that class.

Lol.  Eric, can I just suggest you make the balance changes on Wednesdays offically?  I don't think you guys have ever put one out on a Tueday and as others have posted, Wednesday now is the unofficial official release day.

This is what I want to know as well, because it seems that on Gold matches it's mostly Banshees, Brutes & Ravagers, so I can't get very many husk points to complete my Reaper Challenge.  So I figure either husks need to give more points or maybe fix troop compositions on Gold (personnally, I think the composition should be similar to silver, but just make them harder to kill).

through a Geth Turret, a Volus Shield Boost, Stim Pack, or some other
means, and your shields go down again after the 0.5 second window and
within 4 seconds you will not get a second window of invulnerability.

None of the health and shield gate values or mechanics have changed since we shipped the game.

The following enemy attacks ignore the player health and shield gate mechanics, which means they can instantly kill you.
- Any sync kill
- Enemy grenades
- Possessed Abomination explosions

Since you're delaying the changes, have you considered modifying the text for strength, stability and targeting VI consumables? They do not have numerical values like the others.

I'm not usually the first to double-guess the devs, but the credit gain alone keeps hordes of players in Gold who can barely handle Silver. I fear this could provoke those players not only to continue doing that, but to now care even less if the match makes it to extraction.

As it is, the challenge system is provoking players to eschew objective waves for kills. I'm seeling this in literally EVERY PUG.
