Well points is a thing to consider to move players up, but evaluate the following equation
1 Platinum wave=1 Bronze Wave
Any takers?
Also 1 platinum extraction = 1 bronze extraction , but they do not take the same time/resources.

I'm with you on this one. Gold PUGs are so bad nowadays. And all the challenges I care about completing now are the ones that require waves completed and extractions, Increasing the amount of XP on any difficulty is useless for these.Zso_Zso wrote...
I'm definitely guilty of moving down difficulty for completing challenges.
Here is my logic:
For challenges that require extraction, random PUG silver is better deal than gold. I can clutch waves easily with any character / map / weapon I happen to be working on for challenge, but it could be a problem for gold if I am not using anything powerful.
Furthermore, typical gold PUG takes ~30min, while silver ~20mins. In a gold pug I likely burn up missiles + gels, needing to buy a JEP, while silver I can do without, so net credit gain in an hour is about the same: 2x gold - 2x JEP ~ 100k, 3x silver ~ 100k. But the challenge progress is better since I got 3 extractions instead of 2.
For completing weak weapon / power challenges it is best to solo bronze.
None of the above logic will change by increased score / XP in gold/plat.
