I put this game off a while before playing. Finally picked it up about a month ago and just finished it.  Was definatly worth the ride. There were definatly a few things i didn't like that much. Combat felt to quick, and drawn out with waves. Spells seamed a little limited too.

The game felt more streamlined than DA. I did feel like the turn in quests were a bit bland, not adding to the story with just a thanks and coins and no dialoge to speak of. Romances and character depth could of been a bit better, but how they interacted with the stories was first rate.

looking forward to the next run through to see how different choices feel. Over all was a good game. I'm currious to see how DA3 turns out..

now back to baldur's gate....   :)

I'm inclined to agree with you. I enjoyed DA:O a lot too, but ultimately DA2 is just more fun to me with its shorter quests and looser, less predictable structure. Origins just has too many inescapably long, long stretches of endless combat that, to me, sometimes feels like a bit of a chore. Of course I wasn't a fan of the re-used environments in DA2 and I missed detail and more atmosphere and more natural environments in the graphics department... I also missed the "epic quest" and travelling the world-feel of Origins. So the ultimate Dragon Age game has yet to be made if you ask me. I'm hopeful for Inquisition.

I agree. I put off buying this until last week, and I'm having a blast. Some of the art assets get re-used too many times, but I'm enjoying the characters and the story, and I love the humor.

I liked it as well, I preferred Dragon Age: Origins but DA II was good as well. Act 2 was the highlight of the game for me. The downside was that some areas were re-used a lot and quite a few of the side quests just felt like fetch quests for me.

The only other downside I can think of was that my choices from Origins didn't really have much of an effect on DA II apart from an extra bit of dialogue or two, but otherwise it's a great game and I'm planning to buy the Legacy & Mark of the Assassin DLC soon as well. :)

I enjoyed the combat in DA2 as well. It was different but that made it feel fresh.
