1. Is it possible to 'miss' side objectives? If, for example, I beat the game until I got to the final battle, could I go around the galaxy map and do every single possible side mission in the game and then do the final battle? Or will some of these missions be unavailable?
2. Is it possible to miss dialogue with characters? If I choose to not talk to any of my crew or characters will I miss valuable parts of the game, like missions, etc? Or is it only words?
3. I notice you can choose outcomes and ME3 will be entirely different depending on choices made in 1 and 2. Is it possible on ME3 I can alter things manualy, like a menu where I can determine what had happened? I don't have 1 or 2.
4. Also, I bought my game used and as such I cannot use my online code. Is a new one really $10? If so, I don't want to pay that, anyway around this?

Okay, I will try and answer you as best I can. One thing to note: based on your last two points, I can only assume you are talking about ME3. So here is as best and spoiler free as I can personally answer:
1) Yes. Side/Fetch quests can be missed, and some can time out. Once you get to certain a certain spot in the game, you are "locked in" so to speak, till the end of the game. Call it a point of no return, if you will.
2) Yes. Some content will be missed if you do not talk to your squad/crew. Be sure to do it not only on the Normandy, but also on the Citadel....that is if you want to see/have as much dialogue/character content as possible.
3) If you use an editor of some kind, you may/can set certain plot flags manually. Look in modding threads for further information. As for what is available in the vanilla game, the only decisions available to set in the Character Creator, are who was saved on Virmire in ME1 and whether you have lots of deaths (or something like that....can't remember off the top of my head).
4) Yes, I believe the online pass (if you have to buy it separately) is $10. I have no idea how to get around this, but maybe someone else will enlighten you to your choices.

Thanks Coldwetnose, that answered my questions.
At first I was going to go through the whole game talking to everyone and going everywhere I could, but it started to dull the experience for me. I spent a whole 1 hour walking around the Normandy and talking, walking around the Citadel and talking, and scanning planets in the CIC room. That's cool and all that you can do that, but sometimes it takes away from the experience, cause I like the fighting and shooting and tactical combat.
But I praise the game for all this side stuff you can do. I spent about 7 hours and I hadn't even started Priotiry: Palaven (where you find Victus and Garrus on that moon). It would take someone a long time to do all that stuff!
But it got boring, and fast for me. So I just stopped, and I am now doing Priority missions continuously until I reach a certain part of the game then try to do whatever side missions are available and scan planets for more assets.
