Rethink what? o.O
It's not the difficulty that turns me off from PvP. It's the -people- themselves. The communities tend to be the factor that turns me off of PvP. Broken, or near broken builds become alarmingly common, variety gets crushed, fun gets crushed, forums see a bit too many "NERF (insert something they have problems dealing with but don't look at the big picture)" and are generally more hostile/negative. My problems with PvP is rooted squarely with the people themselves, not the difficulties, or challenges of the game.
Yes, nerf cries happen here, but it's far less often.
At least the people ruining the game for MEMP with missile glitches, landscape glitches, and stuff are working -with- me, and not trying to get their rocks off at my, or anyone else's expense with them. I don't condone abuse, cheats, and exploits in multiplayer, but it's better used against the AI than another person being on the receiving end of it.
Further, I know the AI cheats to try and keep up with people, and I'm more okay with that than other humans cheating. I know they won't be the challenge on par with another person, but I'm fine with that.
I like co-op more than PvP. I'm a team player at heart. I like having people's backs, and them having mine, even if it's not directly so. Like I said, I know the AI cheats. The AI has always cheated. It's diffirent though.
I've giggled gleefully as I managed kill streaks in PvP via cunning, and stuff. I'm no stranger to the adrenaline rushes of PvP. Thing is, it's not worth putting up with other people for me.
I can get challenged outside of PvP. I can get some rushes out of PvP. Aside from dealing with intelligent enemies I don't see a reason to go to PvP in the face of dealing with the stuff people do.
To each, his own, I guess. I see you hate the bad side of people. BSN's constant whining is enough to make me pull my hair out. It's been a long time since Halo 3. I no longer hear people trash talk on the mics in Halo 4. I've always found Halo to be pretty balance and can't recall instances of cheating (I'm sure it happens). With a game like COD, I'm pretty sure cheating is rampant. I've seen more rampant and blatant cheating in ME3 MP than I've ever seen in any other game, and yes, it pisses me off. There are a lot of people out there doing the credit hacks or ini file mods.
I still have good memories of ME, but man, I played this game to death. There is no more challenge for me. No more sense of discovering something new. New gun, new enemy, new map, new powers, new game modes. All games are fun until you realize how repetitive it is and that realization overtakes the excitement of an adrenalin rush. I have stopped playing ME on a regular basis for the same reason. Not everyone gets to that stage where they feel the repitition, but many have. I was thinking of playing some ME3 today but couldn't get myself to launch the game. It's still a great game for a lot of people who have not felt the repitition. When someone gets into the 1000+ hours, it just doesn't feel fresh anymore.
My point is that it's not an issue of whether someone is a PvP person or a coop person. They're more and more alike than people who eschew coop over PvP would like to believe. Eventually, coop will get just as repitive and boring. They're all the same. We play games for the sense of discovery till there's nothing left that is fresh to discover. The game just doesn't feel like it did back in March-April.

just got Halo 4. Loving it. probably going to come back to ME3 when I'm done since I dont own a frekaing gold subscription to play Spartan Ops OFFLINE.
goddamn
That is one big thing that is pissing a LOT of people off about Halo 4.
WHY would you need a Gold Sub to play OFFLINE?!?
I can understand needing an internet connection to update the SpOps but dang, even just to play them on your own home network...just...STUPID.
You could play Firefight offline...but not SpOps?
-Yes, I know, thats a subject for the 343i and Waypoint Forums...WAY ahead of you-

Good game so far. I kinda like BO2. Especialy the riddicilously OP SMG's in it.
They are dominant.... I'm running the MP7 suppressed with FMJ, with Extreme Conditioning, Lightweight, Dexterity, and 2 other perks that make me invisible to radar. I LOVE having a ton of Perks! The cost though... was high. Not a single grenade or secondary weapon... but I don't care. I can always pick up someone elses gun.
Literally limitless build options....
The Scorestreaks are freakin' SWEET!

Yeah, it's awesome. I just wish that I could get more perks, leveling up really slowly in the game. Atm nearing lvl 14. So I don't have much unlocked.
But MP7 is indeed a powerhouse. And you know what's cool? You can pick up enemy ammunition if they are using the same gun. I really really like that change. It might even make Scavenger perk I can skip...
but yeah I love Scavenger, wish I had it.

Have you tried the Sniping yet? It's phenomenal....
Being able to OSK people with body shots off a suppressed rifle is a dream come true... for too long have I raged at the concept of someone being hit with a .50 cal bullet and surviving ONLY because the weapon was suppressed.
You can quick scope but it has a delay to it so it's not super duper cheap (yet).... there's a 3-shot pistol that you unlock later that the first half decent sidearm, and after that there's one that takes shotgun rounds and OSKs people in CQC... the perfect sniper sidearm. I got killed by it a few times then killed him, took his gun and got the game winning kill with it... causing a rage quit. Good times...

I was asking a serious question. BO2 had truly different endings depending on your in-game actions, and not just quicktime events either.

In my defense, I hit the "quote" button before you modified your post. That question part wasn't there originally. :innocent:
I have no interest in the CoD series, so I can't help you.

Story can be a bit convoluted, and it seems like Menendez rivals Kai Leng in terms of plot armor, but the game at the very least handled player choice really well, and sometimes you may be making a choice without even realizing it. Getting the best ending wasn't easy, and it actually required you to make a tough decision.
