people need to stop whining, i bet many Bioware Employees here feel a little frustrated seeing these self-entitled comments about balance changes every week. They can do whatever they want, or at least whatever theyre supposed to do for their job anyway, not quite anything lol

I can't believe you all are complaining about a balance change. Next week you will all be saying they don't need to be performing balance changes. Wonder how many of you guys work on your days off.

Well stated.... I did not think about languages, which has been a sticky thorn in my side modding your games in the past, so.... touche.

Many of the other listed things are fairly much a reiteration of themselves, and seems to be a little misleading considering that this IS simple substitution in most cases. I know that every tinkering can open a new can of worms, but with careful, considerate, professional people working on it, it really is not as complicated as you are making it out to be, IMO,

I supported Bioware in being late the last two times (very reasonable, actually good and sensible, reasons), but I worked on the holiday, so.... I guess I am less than sympathetic, although I am always one to enjoy a day off. To that end, I hope you enjoyed it!

Perhaps going forward, consider nipping things like this in the bud by just making an announcement as early as possible? On close of business Friday, looking at a holiday weekend, it was probably clear to the crew then that balance changes would not be on-time for Tuesday's release.

Interesting sidenote: You quoted my post, yet my post has been deleted.

Well I can agree that there is substitution to it, a lot of the lines that I listed each have a specific line in a config file. Something like can a challenge gain progress, and can it be completed are potentially 2 different things (look at what happened at launch with the Havoc/Ghost) now we have an explicit check for it.

Having a post friday we cant say for certain since up until we push our weekend event our test server is being used by that push so the weekend events also make our time test etc less. Before with weekend operations they were driven by online feedback in game, but now we have to put them on the server on friday.

IE before it was 1 server push a week, now it is 2.

What's special about Nov 11th?

It's a holiday Remembrance Day in Canada. Heard about it through my job.

How are you americans completely unaware of the fact that is also so happens to be your Veterans Day?

Is it the new trendy "in" thing to be utterly oblivious to your service members? I mean I knew americans had a large and disproportionate amount of hate towards their soldiers compared to other nations, but completely forgetting a major memorial date like that is new. At least, I think it is, I wouldn't really know.

You Americans is it? You know blanket statements like that are prejudicial and hurtful. I may cry. :P

I know all about Remembrance Day. Granted I used to be married to a Canadian, so I may not be the norm. :wizard:

Ah, I didn't mean all Americans of course.

It just so seems that in my experience the majority (but certainly not all) americans I know/know of are extremely passionate service-haters who classify all soldiers as "worthless welfare queens" who need to get a "real job" and do something "beneficial to society".

Then again, now that I think about it that might still be more respectful than the majority of my own countrymen - At least in insulting a soldier you acknowledge their existence, but a great deal of my own countrymen refuse to even deign to acknowledge the existence of our military. It is... Very saddening.

Although to be entirely honest it probably has more to do with my age group than anything else.

Lets take a new kit
 - Is it unlockable in store
 - Do the strings show up? Do they show up for all languages?
 - Do you get the correct number of unlocks for them?
 - Does their drop rate seem correct?
 - Is there a challenge for it?
 - Does the challenge have all the strings? Are they all translated?
 - Does it show up in the GUI?
 - Does it track progress correctly?
 - Does the challenge completing actually add to the gold level challenge?
 - Does it reset when the gold level is complete?
 - Do the people maintaining the n7hq know about the new kit?
 - Does the correct number of unlocks show up underneath?
 - Does the kit level corespond to the correct level on the website?
 - Does the power icons etc show up correctly?
 - Does the leveling of powers show up correctly?
 - Does the challenge show up properly?
 - Does the challenge track properly?

Still more but there is a good amount of things that can (and do) go wrong. Also add in the fact there are 3 platforms

Bioware, you don't have to explain yourselves to anyone. I, for one, appreciate your continued support of the multiplayer this far after release and all the free content you have released. Some people are just ungrateful.

I'm not trying to make fun of Remembrance Day or anything, but here in Germany (or at least parts of it) November 11th is the begin of the fifth season, the carnival. That might also have explained a day delay, but due to hangover instead. ;)

At this point, I would have thought that Bioware would of made Wednesday into ME3 Balance Change Day by now to avoid repeatedly posting the same message over and over again inrelation to delays.

To be fair they have had a string of events they have had to deal with halloween n7day remembrance day its perfectly reasonable to expect a one day delay.

I honestly don't get the outrage the community is giving over delayed balance changes. It's not game breaking, we can still play the game, guys. Are people really sitting in front of their computers, refreshing the page every five minutes just to see if the new changes are up? =/

awesome statement is awesome.  i guess if you have ever seen a commercial for a correspondance degree or have ever touched c++...you automatically qualify as a programmer on the BSN. not only that...you rate to tell the PROFESSIONALS how to do their job.

you figure with so many "programmers" in this thread....they would get together and make a better game.

huh:blush:

This topic is bad and OP should feel bad.

This is the most ridiculous, self-entitled complaint I've seen on these boards, and how gracious of the Devs to even humor it with a response - which is met with "Veteran's Day isn't a good reason for late balance changes to a video game."

Disgusting.

The people at Bioware shouldn't have to explain why the balance changes are 1 Day late. How many companies give such great support for their game throughout the year? How many companies give us not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR completely FREE pieces of DLC. In most games you're extremely lucky if you get a single piece of DLC for free, but not once have Bioware made us pay to improve the multiplayer mode, which pretty much has more than twice the content it did back in March.

Thank you for the continued support of the game Bioware.

▲ You'd be surprised how petty some gamers can be. When the PSN was blacked out, there were dumbasses demanding compensation from Sony because "we're missing the Black Ops double XP event!"

I completely agree with you I can wait a single day to honor the fallen hereos who gave thier lives to keep Canada free this board is the epitome of shameless self intrest.

Well, I don't understand how people can protest for balance delaying. I am with bioware on this too. (And I am rarely with Bioware about MP....)

I never like what that kind of thread implies :

- Bioware is late and this is bad.
- It is easy not to be late.

Question for the OP : why do you think Bioware is late, though ? Because they just conspirate against player, so, you know, "We could code it but we won't, so they will have one day more without the balances MOUAHAHHA we are so machiavelics !" ?

What ?

The original post is non-sense to my eyes.

Bryan and Ernest, I for one appreciate what you guys do and do not care one bit that the balance changes are a day or two late. I enjoy the changes, as they get me to try new things and the vast majority of them have been good changes. Take all the time you need.

It is an outrage that so many people are complaining about such a minor detail. Thank you BW for all that you do, and for taking the time to respond to the community.

Also I am a little late, but I know there are many current/former soldiers who play ME3 MP, so thank you all for your service!
