What's special about Nov 11th?

I just lost faith in the human race. I'm off to become a batarian...

11th Hour,11th Day,11th Month

November Rose.
Pink and white and mauve.
Solitary, still,
among the rosemary and late autumnal gorse.

Sea winds have blown.
The first frosts have frozen the short grass.

Spring and summer are memories,
midwinter an echo in reverse.

November Rose for the dying.
November Poppies for the dead,
who cannot sleep
but stream towards new birth;
whose pain outlasts
the bitter Flanders earth.

Also Bioware actually listens to the community and it's always trying to improve things. That alone is good enough to STFU about a small delay which they also took the time to inform you about. And even went as far as explaining you why, when they really shouldn't.

Bryan and Ernest, i'd just like to say that not all of us are hating on you guys. Unfortunate strings of downtime happen, and this is one of them. Not all of us are unappreciative of what you guys do. Keep up the good work.

I agree with this :D.

U know we love you bioware but you also know if the changes isn't something that looks like you guys spent time and was just something we least expected you all know some biches will scream and Banshees will rise.

Every time I see posts like this I am reminded of the fact that the world's priorities have shifted it would seem.
Where are my balance changes?
They will arrive when they are ready.
Wonder what people will say when they shift to every other week.....

lol, just be happy that they actually support their game. There's not many devs out there that still do that.

We did not sign a contract that says "we will do balance changes every week". We try to be consistant because of consistancy, which has led out fans to be conditioned. This is both "powerful" and a curse, it requires less in the way of communication but is very difficult to break away from and can lead to anger and misunderstanding.....

Thanks for the explanation Brian. That's all I've ever wanted. So why do you guys wait until the last minute if there's all this time involved ?? Shouldn't it be ready A day or so before launch? For example. We know thanksgiving an Christmas are coming up. So why not plan for it now instead I waiting until then??

3 weeks ago more testing was required, it happens when a balance change is over 50 changes

2 weeks ago we had a halloween challenge which fell on halloween we also did 2 things we hadn't done before. A new banner and replacing objectives. Then after that we also had to remove the halloween changes on the monday, that verification didnt come without a cost either.

1 week ago we had N7 challenge, which we wanted to land on N7 day. Furthermore if we did do 2 server pushes (one tuesday, one on wednesday) it makes it very hard to test ie we would have less than a day to test our push on wednesday.

This week we had rememberance day on sunday, which (because it is a stat/public holiday) we were given monday off as a day in lieu. I am not sure about you all but I certainly enjoy my days, and appreciate it when I get it for a holiday that means something to me. So really Wednesday is the 2nd day of the work week which you could argue is when we release balance changes, because we have generally released on a wednesday if monday is a holiday.

I do not believe any aspect of having a day delay because of a holiday instead of having us work late is an outrage.

Bryan, Ernest... these guys saying these things are ridiculous.
Bioware is doing an amazing job with this game, really.

The only thing I could ask is oficially transfer the balance day to wednesday. If not possible, please try warning about the delay more earlier to avoid more people get anxious. You NOT HAVE to do this, only if possible of course.
We like so much of this game Bryan/Ernest... so anything new, changes, dlc, new char make us very exciting and waiting with strong anxiety. Everything have a negative side, but I think this is a reward for all this great work placed on this game.

Anyone who gets new content every week and throws a tantrum about having to wait under 24 hours on delays needs to take a serious look in the mirror and reevaluate their lives. Serious lack of maturity.

I think you should just move the day to Wednesday. Give yourselves time. It's not a big deal. Just let us know so that when Tuesday rolls around, our conditioned brains don't expect it.

The idea that people actually get upset over a delay in balance changes is beyond pathetic.

Ok they didnt do the changes today what ever. We should be happy that they warnned us and that shows how much they care about us. So lets let them consintrate and do their work. Even if it takes 1 or 2 more days, its all worth it to see what the got special in store for us.

I really don't care that much about balance changes anymore. But why can't they release the new weekly kit atleast. That would just stop a majority of people from making all these threads.

Laughed at OP. First world problems.

Saw dev post "...and tomorrow is November 11th, lest we forget."
Immediate post afterward? "What's so special about November 11th?"

My school had the 12th off as an observance for Veterans Day.
Most of the people in my classes (college, too) don't know what November 11th is.
Or what the last Monday in May is.

Lest we forget, indeed.

I'm still angry at the OP.

To BW: we give you guys a lot of crap and flaming, and we will rage harder than any other fanbase on the net. But people like the OP are not us, as I hope this thread demonstrates.

The OP is a jackass, please try to ignore him devs. I'm thankful you still bother to balance this game at all.

About the same for me. Though i was happier when i ran a superhero themed 5k on that sunday and saw 3 or 4 regular people in ACU/BDUs. A notable mark of respect if nothing else.

So what if they're late? Geez, how DARE they make YOU wait another second.

However I'm pretty sure you posted this thread with all-caps title and generic rage phrase to get attention anyway. Mission accomplished.

You whiners are starting to look really childish and pathetic. There's nothing else to be said.

Actually yes, I'm waiting for tomorrow when you will flip-flop your whining stance and cry a river at the single minor nerf that might come and curse bioware for attempting to balance the game every week.
