I think its disgraceful that people would complain at BioWare for there release times on free stuff. which is no doubt costing BioWare money. and its usually the ones who wont put real money into that complain. at the end of the day they work hard trying to keep everyone of us happy and have to sit and read people inevitably finding some fault or other with something. I have done myself which i regret now doing. So its certainly not an outrage about what day it comes out. quit whining

Lame excuse? Fairly...

Lets take a new kit
 - Is it unlockable in store
 - Do the strings show up? Do they show up for all languages?
 - Do you get the correct number of unlocks for them?
 - Does their drop rate seem correct?
 - Is there a challenge for it?
 - Does the challenge have all the strings? Are they all translated?
 - Does it show up in the GUI?
 - Does it track progress correctly?
 - Does the challenge completing actually add to the gold level challenge?
 - Does it reset when the gold level is complete?
 - Do the people maintaining the n7hq know about the new kit?
 - Does the correct number of unlocks show up underneath?
 - Does the kit level corespond to the correct level on the website?
 - Does the power icons etc show up correctly?
 - Does the leveling of powers show up correctly?
 - Does the challenge show up properly?
 - Does the challenge track properly?

Still more but there is a good amount of things that can (and do) go wrong. Also add in the fact there are 3 platforms.

Still a poor excuse. Why? Because you're professionals.

My god. BioWare does us a favor by giving weekly balance changes. You lack common sense because you still had the nerve to post a moronic reply such as that;when Bryan just gave some insight into what their work entails. Now that the children have gotten spoiled by the weekly changes.. They're even more entitled (which I didnt even think was possible) than ever before. I hate you so called "gamers" these days.

This isn't a favor. And free DLCs isn't a favor. It's a business model. They also promised to give us new character every week. Also "balancing" game is necessary, because idiots like you won't stop crying about OVERPOWERED characters/weapons/etc,

I can't help but feel like apologies are in order to Bryan, Ernest, and any other staff that may wind up reading this thread.  Your work is appreciated.  Do your best to ignore the... "people".... that choose to spew forth their so called outrage over delayed balance changes, of all things..... i mean seriously, what is wrong some of the folks on BSN?

I never paid any more money after purchasing ME3.As you did not have too either; wether you did or not is your business but your money is not required.I certainly wasnt charged for the weekly changes and neither were you.

I never ask for nerfs or buffs I never do in ANY game I never comment on those. You will not catch me making threads on those things ever. And I find it ironic you're talking about me crying when you are the one in the state of obvious butt hurt. You are the one of many players who absolutely lack ANY callous to anything; because you deserve everything.Everyone owes you something.

Honestly, how easy is your life if something as trivial as this apparently ruins your world?

Are we getting a new character this week? Yes? OK then, STFU. Monday was a holiday FFS. Get over the attitude of entitlement.

I think this topic is the outrage. The guys at BW have done more to support MP than any of us imagined they would, and yet some people have the nerve to whine and moan about something like this.

An official move to Wednesday seems a good idea, I really wouldn't mind myself and I doubt a lot of others would either.

I don't agree in the slightest with the raaaaaage on this.

Politeness is something that is a bit scarce here.
The OP's post has been answered, delays have been explained.

Dear me, a tad humbleness couldn't hurt. What's wrong about them getting a day off for a national holiday that falls on Sunday? That's actually a nice policy.

Honestly, people need to settle the fokk down. This is the only game I know that gets constant support by the developers and to feel entitled to their support is just abusing.

Someone rescue my sweet, sweet Arkham Impostors! :'(

I don't care the delay at all, after playing so many free DLCs, any more complaints make me feel I am a jerk.

I read the thread title in Udina's voice. Opened the thread and I was right.

Sorry, I have no comments on the actual content of this thread.

One quick additional note for those that may not realise. At the beginning of this thread there was criticism that the OP didn't realise it was remembrance day on the 11/11. Just to let you know that he may well have realised 11/11 is remembrance day, but may not see how that affects BW's release schedule. Keep in mind that many countries, including the UK, do not have a day of leave from work on 11/11. We recognise the day and hold remembrance services on the Sunday but may not readily link the relevance to any delay in work output as Canadians and some other nationalities might. Just saying, so people don't assume the worst of others due only to ignorance of different traditions.

Jesus christ, people have high expectations from Bioware. I'm guessing a lot of the people that say it's "inexcusable" that changes are late have never themselves worked on a project as big as Mass Effect 3. People – you don't know what Bioware is doing at their office. They may have other things than just MP balance changes to do. Also, as they've tried to say, changes require testing. And that takes much more time than some people think.

To the Bioware team – keep up the good work. Not everybody thinks it's an outrage that a free, weekly service doesn't happen at the same time every week. I'm actually rather impressed that you have the recources to update the MP so often.

Bryan and Ernest, i'd just like to say that not all of us are hating on you guys. Unfortunate strings of downtime happen, and this is one of them. Not all of us are unappreciative of what you guys do. Keep up the good work.

This

Also what difference does it make, what day of the week they come out. Really, who is gonna die, who's rent isn't gonna get payed, who's life is gonna be affected in the slightest bit by balance changes getting released one day instead of the other.

OP, if I had your problems, I wouldn't have any problems. Except for a lack of skill in prioritizing issues.

Well then STFU and head off to Bioware then if you want your balance changes that badly, mr entitled.

O, btw I havent seen a nerf thread in a while. Idiots like you pollute BSN with your ****ty ass remarks about a 24 hour delay.

Dont you have better things to do than write that stupidly entitled comment?

I think that BW should move changes to wednesday if it's convenient for them. Honestly, would it kill you to have to wait an extra day? Or is this all just because you'd like to have a consistent deadline?
Well, things happen. Holidays happen. I can't wait to see what happens here when Christmas comes around. (Which is in fact, a Tuesday)

@BioWare
Thanks for supporting the multiplayer the past 8 months, and more in the future :)

Bioware are doing a great service for us, so why the hell complain about a delayed patch?
Be grateful that they aren't blizzard who tends to send out patches every other month or so.
Keep up the good work Bioware and ignore these negative comments.

Independent of being annoyed at the delayed balance changes or not, one has to appreciate that such feelings are expressed by quoting our favourite game. Shows how much people care, I think.

I've read all of the explanations by Bioware and the explanations/excuses mean nothing to me.. My frustration (and i am assumiing many others) stems not from the delays but from the lack of communication about them. How about in the future letting BSN know on Monday if they are going to be delayed on Tuesday? Why wait until there are 5 billion threads about why there aren't balance changes on Tuesdays? Why wait until 6-12 hours after balance changes used to drop to communicate with the dwindling amount of players that haven't moved onto another game, that unfortunately there will be delays this week.

Seriously, that would make it 100% better. You would occasionally have the random idiot whining, but the rest of us sane players? We would have seen the sticky thread posted on Monday about the delay of balance changes on Tuesday and wouldn't instead have been sitting there refreshing the BSN ME3 MP Forum repeatedly on Tuesday, waiting for an update that wasn't coming.

I mean seriously? You guys don't see the spike in bandwidth on Tuesday mornings and don't think to yourselves, "Ya know, there would be a lot less vitriol if we had just communicated with them on Monday instead."

That said, thank you for everything else.

Though I feel BW do a good job re. support, I regularly see the argument in these type of threads that it is not proper to complain when the support/patches/dlc is 'free'. To bust this myth, please remember that there's no such thing as a free lunch. If the funding for all these things doesn't come from us customer, where does it come from do you think? Well, unfortunately the gaming fairy is not as reliable a source of funding as some might believe so no, none of this is free. Yes, we do pay for it. Every last bit. Not that we shouldn't as BW need their income to keep going, but we should at least realise what we are paying for though.
