Challenge system helped and hurt MP.

 I like the new challenge system and i understand Bioware had to do something to keep MP alive. The new banners are cool, but they don't add anything to the gameplay. Maybe completing a banner and equipping it could add a 10% bonus to that weapon or character etc...?

What I don't like is how it went from a team based MP game to a competitive/"steal kills" to get my challenges complete game. I have been in games where one or two players seem to be holding back, letting others damage enemies, then jumping in to try and finish them off.

I have also noticed many strange builds and weapon combos, which I have to believe are people trying to complete multiple challenges at once. It makes sense, but can really screw up the team. I also think it has alot to do with trilogy coming out and new players being added to the community.

Now I'm wondering what or if Bioware can do anything to keep MP fresh or exciting for veteran players. New maps? New game modes? New objectives, enemies, weapons, etc...
