Of course it will sell. The fact that Montreal is doing it, is bringing back some people just because it's something refreshing. Will it sell greater than ME3? Who knows, who cares too.

It will sell... no doubt. This website only makes up a portion of the ME fans so just because people on here were unhappy doesnt mean everybody was. Besides most people seemed to enjoy ME3 outside of the endings and a lot of people's faith was restored after the extended cut.

So y'all will buy this even after Bioware lied and was openly rude when people pointed out said lies and I love how you guys are always hostile as ever.

This is precisely why I'll be reminding people of ME3's prerelease quotes once the hype for ME4 starts ramping up. SOMEONE needs to remind people!

And plus with the endings of ME3 how will any thing happen they basically Stopped any new games from being made unless they remake the mass effect games.

I haven't really seen much people say they will buy it. Most people are saying that there are plenty of people out that will, and it's the truth. Though, I started reading on page 3 so I can't be too sure.

Remember, the BSN has a very very very VERY small population in comparison to the gaming market. Also, people swear up and down they won't buy games like CoD ever again, yet they are always the ones in the midnight release lines, and Bioware fans are more devoted.

The various polls taken regarding the ending indicate that it wasn't just BSN; far from it in fact. That said, it's unlikely ME3's ending will be enough to seriously hurt ME4 sales, but I'm rather certain ME5's sales won't be nearly as good.

Why?

Because historically, EA tends to drain franchises dry when they start showing weakness-see Westwood, Bullfrog, and most other dead franchises owned by EA. Plus, ME4's been offloaded onto the team that did multiplayer, and while I don't doubt there's plenty of talent there, it's geared in a somewhat different direction than the main team if I understand how these things work correctly.

Well actually as long as it is a sequel I will buy it. Also it won't come out for around two or three years (hopefully more) from now so yeah by then this whole ending fiasco will be forgeten by most but not me

So Halo 4 is the best place for new players of the Halo franchise to start? Image IPB

Definately not, the amount of ignorance and generalisations from some BSN members surrounding the plot of H4 are a clear indication that not paying attention to anything that came before (games/books/cartoons/animes/liveaction episodic short movies) is bad bad bad.

Many Elder Scroll fans panned Oblivion when it came out, claiming it didn't stack up to Morrowind. Yet Skyrim sold 11 million copies.

Skyrim improved the vast majority of Oblivion's failings for one, and two TES Fans have said that about every TES game since Daggerfall. Including Morrowind. Every fandom does that to some extent, but I can't think of a single ****storm that can compare with the one the endings caused.

I think it's a bit early for sales predictions.

But they have lost some customers, absolutely. Enough to make a difference?

We won't know until we know, if we ever even find out.

Two things.

First, Westwood shot itself in the foot by having their own development abandon the work on Tiberiun Sun. After that EA tried to recover and failed.

Two, restrictions done in the year 2000 do not apply to 2012, they have a new CEO, new marketing strategy, and new infrastructure company-wise. That said, you can make the argument that its a habit, but you also need to keep in mind current trends through their company line.

As for the direction the team is taking it, considering the multiplayer is a good RPG-multiplayer experience, I think its in good hands.

Like Activision and Capcom?

After all, how many developers out there post on their own forums and try to open communication with fans, when they have no obligation to do so?

The treating their fanbase like **** excuse doesn't fly, unless if you reverse it to say the fans treat BioWare horribly. As for lying and cheating, subjective and really nothing more than hot air.
