Ill buy it, tho Ill read some "fan" comments about it before I do it, not gonna read IGN or Gamespot's reviews.

At this point wouldn't the fan comments be just as biased?

No future Mass Effect titles will ever come close to beating ME1, ME2, The Trilogy Soundtrack, The Suicide Mission Theme, or this trilogy's characters that is not an opinion it is a fact, put your hands down, bow down, and submit lol.

Doesn't matter...I won't be buying it...

Shepard's story is done to me..I shall be content with mods & fan fiction

I wish to spend money on more games that isn't rushed, that doesn't cut content out of the game & publishes it as a DLC, that doesn't have awful servers, doesn't force you to use a particular digital platform to run it, doesn't have bad writing that required some form of extension to explain it...

So no..I won't be getting it..ME3 is the last ME game I will play & support...

Keep telling yourself that, OP.

Keep helping folks who lie and cheat and treat their fanbase like utter ****.

Like Activision and Capcom?

After all, how many developers out there post on their own forums and try to open communication with fans, when they have no obligation to do so?

The treating their fanbase like **** excuse doesn't fly, unless if you reverse it to say the fans treat BioWare horribly. As for lying and cheating, subjective and really nothing more than hot air.

How many devs lock down topics that have legit arguments  facts and ponits and clear proof that they lied or that DLC hasn't been selling as well as Bioware states and the unfair banning of those who may not like the endings but at the same time are civil about?

ME4 will sell, even with the bad rap ME3 got.

ME has reached the point it is considered a "AAA Franchise", and AAA Franchises will continue to sell regardless of perception.

Unfortunate Truth.

If it is a good and interesting game with an exciting story to tell, then I'm a buyer for good.

Time will tell how the new ME game will do, and it may be a bold guess, but I think that it will sell pretty well.
Not everybody is disappointed by the ending of the game (esp. post-EC), and there are lots of people out there who love the universe itself so much that they would buy a new game any day despite their hatred for the ending of the original trilogy.

Nope, ME4 will sell like hotcakes because everyone loves mediocrity and EA know how to shove their crappy products down consumer's throats. (Not company bashing.)

Now, I hope that they won't make a cheesy love story of it... there was too much romance in the ME trilogy already... way too much. Two or three romance options would do for each gendre and they shouldn't make a big deal of it (like in ME2 where they made the Normandy into a loveboat).

We don't even know what the new ME game (produced by a young, fresh team of fans) will have to offer... Lets just wait and see.

I know that you would say that it's easy for me who likes ME3 and its ending ("mediocrity" as you would put it), but I think we should give them the benefit of doubt at least.

It is far, far too early to assume anything. You honestly think all those who are still bashing the endings are the only customers Bioware has and will have in the future? And as said before, even some of those who still dislike the endings will be watching ME4 (or whatever it will be called) with interest and hope, though apparently you are not one of those people since you clearly have written the entire thing off as a failure before even knowing what it's about.

Not that I necessarily agree with the OP; rather I suspect ME4 will hurt, but ultimately sell. That said, Square Enix thought the same of their flagship and as of today, they are a couple bad games, if not one, away from bankruptcy. Both FFXI and FFXII were huge financial successes, yet gradually split their fanbase due to polarizing interest (sound familiar?) Two controversial games later and they are not looking so good.

If I had to offer a "held at gunpoint" estimation: 5-7 years. Provided BioWare has another flop within that time frame; less if the flop happens to be Dragon Age 3. They need that game to succeed in the public eye.

So, OP, all the people stating here that "Bioware will get what thy deserve"
"They destroyed the franchise" and blah blah blah.
You're telling me you're in a forum for a game you don't care about. I don't think you even believe that.
From a pure gameplay point of view, ME3 I the pinnacle of the ME evolution. The fact that we can even have a multiplayer out of it should be evidence Enough that Bioware has succeeded and crating a great third person combat system tht is quickly to pick up, takes dedication and time to master.
ME3 in the story department was not a failure. It's individual set pieces, tuchanka, rannoch, even earth and the citadel were all individually grat set pieces. Perhaps how they were put together was very successful but, ME3 was a pleasure and honor to play.
A better ME than 1,2, and 3? Yes please!
Funny I think that the bad rep of the ending (which I guess was not everyone's cup of tea)
Will only help. Even bad publicity is good publicity if it gets people taking about about your product.

Whoa that post was riddled with so many grammar mistakes.
Grammar police fire away!
Also I came out sounding too confrontational. All I'm saying is that ME is actually well seen in the public eye.
Contrary to what the ending controversy didn't really reflect bad on the franchise itself, it reflected bad on us fans since the vocal minority made it seem as if the whole fandom didn't like the ending and wasn't mature enough to handle a game with a a bad ending. (Note That I'm not saying the ending was bad or good, just that the reaction reflected bad on us l, even though this is a great community full people passionate for the mass effect  franchise)

That really depends on what happens to EA and BW in the meantime. Mass Effect is not their only title that has taken a beating after its last release, and we still have Dragon Age 3 which will be under a LOT of scrutiny after the dud that is called Dragon Age 2.

Mass Effect 4 is under development, but ME3 is still fresh in my mind. What irks me most about this title atm, is that EA/BW never apologized for the lump of steaming crap they sold us, and then tried to make it look like a masterpiece when people rightfully pointed out that it looked like a turd and it smelled like a rushjob.

I'm not particularly looking forward to anything coming from BW atm. I really think they're on their way down, and that they might well be done for when Dragon Age 3 fails to deliver.
