Ill buy it, tho Ill read some "fan" comments about it before I do it, not gonna read IGN or Gamespot's reviews.

At this point wouldn't the fan comments be just as biased?

When it comes to opinions, well it's all subjective no ( biased even no? - preferences are c.ap :) ) call it as you want, but looking at IGN and some other "major" players ( when it comes to reviews ), I rather hear it from ppl that are not payed to write reviews.

As long as CoD and Halo 4 sells ME4 will sell.

Remember, the BSN has a very very very VERY small population in comparison to the gaming market. Also, people swear up and down they won't buy games like CoD ever again, yet they are always the ones in the midnight release lines, and Bioware fans are more devoted.

When I do something I do it.

I won't be buying Mass effect 4 brand new and I won't be buying Halo 4 until Summer.
And I won't be playing Skyrim again until sometime next year.

Many Elder Scroll fans panned Oblivion when it came out, claiming it didn't stack up to Morrowind. Yet Skyrim sold 11 million copies.

Skyrim improved the vast majority of Oblivion's failings for one, and two TES Fans have said that about every TES game since Daggerfall. Including Morrowind. Every fandom does that to some extent, but I can't think of a single ****storm that can compare with the one the endings caused.

Mass effect 3 was just awful, people seem to underplay how badly it ruined everything that was good about what we loved.

so they lost some of their core fans. doubt they care considering they got more new "fans" , probably more ten the old fans they lost

wasn't there a song about make new friends but keep the old , eh whatever

anyways it will probably sell but the some of the fans that were with ME from the beginning might not get into it . for various reasons

Nope. Just making sure everyone I know can play it. Bought them all DA games and all the ME games as well as the DLC's. Sorry but too many people are breeders out there and can't afford to buy the games because of financial parenting responsibilities. They all loved the games !

Most likely, ME4/Beyond will sell well. Not necessarily because of the AAA-status, or even because of positive word of mouth; Rather, it will sell because many of the people who yell "I won't buy more content!"/etc seem to always wind up dropping this opinion the moment they see new gameplay.

I think it's unfortunate, but many people have a hard time sticking to their guns when it comes to Boycotting/Not Buying/Etc, especially when a new game, new content, or new offer looks so appealing. Many people are caught by a natural hook.

Perhaps it'll be interesting to track if BioWare is capable of lying through its teeth more, and still having fanbase loyalty. In the end, everything is just speculation. However, if I recall correctly, ME3's DLC sold pretty well compared to all initial speculation that it "Wouldn't sell at all."

That sounds like an awfully strange unique set-up.
I take it they must have been already into gaming before hand.

How many new fans will they get after ditching the core people? The CoD market is oversaturated as it is. There is too much competition.

I think by underplay, you must mean overplay. A lot. For like, 9 months.

Stats from the Xbox live Marketplace when comparing it to all other DLC for Mass effect, put Leviathan close to the bottom.

Really now? I had heard otherwise, but this was some time ago, perhaps before the release of any official data. Do you perchance have a link I could read about it? I'd love to update my own information.

Agreed. They should do what Star Citizen is doing. I know I would shell out for it now.

Due to all the neg feedback ME4 will sell poorly very poorly Cause a very large number of fans are done with ME and Bioware and they can't fool any one with their PR spin anymore.

Really? BSN doesn't look like that.

Actually, I've never been on a game forum that was that active 9 months after the release. And the DLC seems to be selling as well, so...

why shouldn't ME4 sell?

to be far , bout say 68% of the active players make hate threads , and b*tch about what bioware did. it is the majority of bsn that lost faith in bioware.

so the core fans will most likely not buy, at least not pre order , wait for someone to do a review or something. most though not all,. just the majority felt let down by ME3 among other things bioware did .

persoanlly i will wait and see when it takes place and such,. i won't preorder though, might buy it that day but damn it i won't preorder

Mass Effect still has a huge fan base, even with all the bs with the ending. The fact people are still playing Mass 3 and buying it DLC pretty much proves this. Course if they stray to far from what made the Mass Effect games great it might be a different matter. Turning into a straight shooter will alienate more fans than Mass 3's ending ever did.

For as many who are still playing it I would almost garentee there are also almost as many who aren't. My partner and I, both avid mass effect fans before have not touched a single DLC for ME3 yet or played ME3 again yet either. It kinda killed the series for us which is really sad as we were so excited about it before.

Well I certainly won't buy it, that's for sure. ME3 was the first game I bought by Bioware, and SWTOR was the second. Never again.
