I will:
- be a duelwield rogue
- save every mage possible.
- be kind and merciful (even to templars).
- redecorate my castle over and over.
- support freedom.
- kiss Flemmeths feet the moment I see her!

My first character is always the same. I judge games largely on how well they permit that character.

He's a mage. He has a dry wit, but he makes jokes solely for his own benefit. He does not care whether others enjoy or even recognise his humour, as they are irrelevant. He is indifferent to the welfare of others. He likes to gather as much information as possible before making decisions. He reacts very badly to being lied to, but has no difficulty lying to others. He completes quests because he wants to, not because others want him to. He's generally stoic, but has a flair for the dramatic. He enjoys performing for a crowd, but will do so only when it suits him.

That is actually very detailed....I like it

Oh, and he's very polite.  He doesn't care about other people, but he's never rude to them.

IMHO, an intensely lawful evil character (for example, your average 40k inquisitor) is more fun.

Meh maybe. I just want a cluster**** of an evil character. Would probably become a 2nd playthrough thing as then I kinda know what to pick to accomplish that but I really think it could be one of the most interesting ways to go through the game

That's exactly sound like you ( on BSN ). Not sure if the character you've mentioned closely mirror to your own personality tho.

I have different character in mind. Mine is chaotic yet lawful. He doesn't care how NPCs should react to his dialogue choices and course of action. Under certain circumstances, he could be the one with anger management problem, very rude, ruthless, unreasonable and threatening. He could also be very sarcastic on certain issues. Otherwise he would love to jokes and take things lightly. And no, despite he doesn't like to take any sides, he is not a friendly and diplomatic character. He doesn't like to be forced into other people problem. He doesn't like to talk much with other people unless his love interest. ( This is the primary reason why BioWare shouldn't attempt to display my character's personality through cinematic dialogues. They could never show my character's personality properly. All those gestures, smiles, eyes contact, body and facial expression are contradicting to what I would imagine my character should react. ).

He loves to travel alone at nights. He's an execellent archer who is capable to take unsuspected enemies from afar. Stealh is his primary weapon but he doesn't mind using heavy shield to block and long sword for close combat.  He despise any nonlawful character such apostate, slave dealers, thugs and blood magic users. He is straight male and would be offended if same gender companions attempt a move. Sorry. My character only interested with female's soft skin texture + T&A.

Romance option. He dislike religious female character ( like Leliana and Cassandra ) as he view her as heretic full of bull**** faith who constantly be blinded by bull**** "good" moral value such sex after marry. He also dislike naive females who couldn't see the danger of misused blood magic such as Merril who he view as immature character. However, he would enjoy Merril's clumsiness and akward behaviour. He preferred a strong female character as viable love interest such as Morrigan who can kick his ass everytime he's acting like an insane bloodthirsty maniac ( due to personal circumstances ) and yet still depend on him for comfort, security and pleasure. I doubt this archtype character would appear in DA 3. Sigh...

Almost sounds like someone with antisocial personality disorder. xp

So far I can only say I'll play a mage and be rampantly, almost obsessively, vested in mage freedom. Atrocities will most likely be committed. I hope there is a background with some sort of emotionally scarring story with Templar involvement...

A woman named Diana, in her late 20's, with blood red hair. She is quite like Evangeline from Asunder in that, while she supports The Chantry and The Templars (or at least she did, until Lambert took matters into his own hands), she refuses to slaughter innocent mages for no reason. She is calm, rational and a firm leader, but in stressful situations can sometimes let her emotions get the better of her. Ideally, she would find a middle-ground, a way for both the Templars and Mages to live in harmony. But she is smart enough to know that the point of compromise has well and truly passed. Action must be taken.

She would not admit it to anyone, but deep down she thinks that The Seeker's plan to recover The Champion of Kirkwall and The Hero of Fereldan is doomed to failure.

She will also be a rogue, and rather difficult to bed (she has semi-high standards and an occasional "ice queen" attitude).

Ill play as a Mage and if the story is mage vs chantry/templars, I will destroy any and all that oppose Mage freedom from Circles and oversite by the chantry.

I wont let any mage haters in my party

I wont help any chantry or templers even to the detriment to my team.

I usually play the 'paragon' type heroes, doing the most good for the most people she can. I just know if there are three classes to pick from my first will be a mage.

Well, it'll be a mage again, and my first character was a fairly moral pro-Circle girl, whilst my second was a somewhat unbalanced anti-Chantry girl.

So I think this one should be cold and ruthless, but with a "there will be compromise if I have to kill you all to ensure it" attitude, rather than being on one side or the other about the mage/templar stuff. Assuming she'll be doing Inquisitor-y things, I think she should be success-at-all-costs type.

An air-headed goody-two-shoes that likes going around hugging people and only becomes serious when there's no other way. And believe me, you do not want her to be serious. Not if you're fond of living.

Well, either that or a sarcastic idiot that is completly oblivious to the feelings of any of the people around her. Sometimes even her own.

A mage who is all 40k towards....dun dun dun....everyone! Including mages. All he'll care about is, get the job done, do it well, or don't do it at all.

I'm planning to make a counterpoint to my Warden, in that my Inquisitor will be the non-charismatic pro-order warrior to my Warden's lovable pro-freedom rogue.

And along that train of thought, I'm going to be sure to contrast my Inquisitor with my Hawke, by having him be sane, and actually capable of being affable to more than one person.

It's part of an elaborate scheme to create a perfect odd-couple sitcom cast full of all of my Dragon Age Protagonists. :D

EDIT: Now that I recall, I have to say; Aggressive Hawke is suuuuuch a *****. I gave up on trying to make a relatable aggressive character half way through, and I had a lot of fun after that, alway pushing the aggressive responses just to see her completely blow up at everyone she meets.

Definitely going the 40k =][= route.

It would be a bloody short game.

Inquisitor drop on Thedas, it takes a look around his drop pod......and order a ****ing exterminatus as this planet is fulled to the brim with mutants and spawn from the immaterium.

Image IPB

Tbh, I think the Imperium would be VERY interested in the rite of traquility, which, in 40k terms, basically turns its victim into an untouchable, immune to daemonic possession, Chaos corruption, and mind effecting psyker powers, which makes them quite valuable to the Imperium in the rare cases they aren't killed as infants.

Then again, unless the Inquisitor who arrived on Thedas was at least somewhat radical, he'd probably force the Chantry to divulge the secrets of the rite, then declare Exterminatus on the planet for

A. having tons of xenos and mutants everywhere

B. Having a weakened veil between the materium and the warp

C. Venerating a god other than the Emperor.

D. For having several leaders with the gall to use the title Emperor/ess

Alright, so we're going to go with my gnome alcoholic bard character. The sole survivor of what was very near a TPK. There will be copious amounts of bar scenes, with any luck.

A blood mage doing blood magey things.

Also kill everyone that has to do with the [normal] Chantry I can. Long live the Black Divine!

My warden was a kind guy with a penchant for blood magic but he was still very heroic.
My Hawke was a borderline sociopath that screwed/killed anything that moved in that order. I think I'll do that again, it was fun
